We often take small things less important and don’t pay too much attention to the importance they hold. Focusing on the little things and habits will actually make your relationships much stronger and healthier. A habit is a discrete behaviour that you do automatically and that takes little effort to maintain.
Thus, the first step to having a healthy relationship with your partner is that you need to work on these little habits that will not only make your relationship great but will also make you appreciate each other a lot more.
1. START WITH THOSE ‘KIND WORDS’ WE LEARNED IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
‘Thank you’, ‘Sorry’, ‘That’s so nice of you’ etc.
Be kind to your partner and appreciate the things they do for you. If you fail at something, acknowledge and apologiSe because that is the right thing to do. Don’t let your ego keep you away from doing the right and the kind thing.
2. ALWAYS ASK EACH OTHER ABOUT THEIR DAY
This is a very important part of the day, though it might seem small but it gives you both some time alone with each other in which you are making them a part of all the times of the day when they weren’t there with you. This way you both are also sharing the things that are upsetting you or are important to you.
