Depending on where you fall in the family line of siblings, you play different roles in the family.
If you’re the older sibling, it can be tiring. You bear the most responsibilities because you’re the eldest. You’re expected to be the mature one of the bunch. You always have to be the one who sets a good example. These are roles that you have accepted whether willingly or not. However, there are advantages to being an older sibling too. You get to be the boss of your other siblings. You have the seniority advantage. There are countless aspects of the sibling relationship dynamic. Things can get very interesting most especially when you have a younger brother.

1. You Fight All The Time
You’re the older sister. He’s the younger brother. Your differences are virtually limitless. You fight and bicker constantly about everything. Your parents have their work cut out for them acting as peacekeepers between the both of you. You find yourself being constantly irritated by his presence in your life and you ask the gods why they have placed such a burden upon you. You think of your little brother as a punishment for all of your sins.
2. You Miss Him When He’s Not Around
But despite him being the constant pain in the butt that he is, you miss him whenever he’s not around. If he’s out for the whole summer for summer camp, or when you have to leave home for college, you start missing his presence.
