Such little details like being on dates on time and bringing flowers show excitement and concern and these two factors can only be seen if the guy is genuinely interested in you. No faker of feelings would do that. If he is punctual on dates and all the other occasions related to you or the relationship then it is a sign that he is genuinely interested in you and the relationship.
All these little signs show that all the sweet things he says are not just words and that he is willing to put them into action too. The little things tell you that if he is able to do what he says about such little matters, he might even be worth spending your whole life with.

Proud of You:
The man who wants to hide you and your relationship with him from people is not an honest man. He is probably in it for the fun part if he is not willing to show you off to the world as your girlfriend because that is what dishonest people do.
If he takes pride in you and is not afraid of telling people that he loves you, he really does. It takes truthfulness and honesty to accept love for someone in front of the world.
He won’t mind people’s teasing comments and spectators’ eyes because he would know that as long as the both of you have each other, no other person or problem can affect the relationship.

Your Opinion Matters:
Relationships are about sharing, be it food or opinions. If he understands this fact and always remembers to ask for your opinion on something that means a lot to him and also takes it into consideration, he actually thinks highly of you.
You are not some insignificant part of his life but a very important person whose opinion matters and his asking for it also shows that he is not afraid to express his fondness of you.
Don’t believe him when he says he loves you unless he shows you he loves you. Asking for your opinions and suggestions is a form of showing his love for you. Believe only his actions and then find meaning in his words.

Not Afraid To Open Up:
Every promise of his and every other act of love is useless if he is not ready to share his life with you. By life, we mean not just the present, but also the past and the future. The part of life that he has lived without you, if he thinks it is important to include you in it now that he has you, he really loves you.
Besides experiences, being true to someone also means sharing feelings with them. If something is worrying him and he is not hesitant about sharing it with you, he might not be afraid of sharing his life with you.
All these little things tell a man’s truthfulness. If he is really a man of his word, he will do all of them no matter what it takes.

He is not a man of his word and what bothers me is that I have been in this relationship for 25 years. You stay thinking that he will gradually change, and things will improve, but they only change temporarily and only because I point out the that he has not been a man of his words. When you are young and in love you don’t see these things in a man . You don’t even know what to look for. When you begin to mature and examine your needs in the relationship and you discuss those needs and they are not considered it can be hurtful.
