5. “You should just focus on staying in the kitchen.”
Never get with a man who believes that you aren’t allowed to have dreams or goals. He shouldn’t even be joking about you just staying in the kitchen or staying at home. He shouldn’t be serving as a hurdle between you and your dreams at all. He should respect the fact that you have your ambitions.
6. “I’m going drinking with the boys this weekend.”
It’s a statement. It’s not that h should ask for your permission all of the time. But he shouldn’t be making it seem like he wouldn’t take you into consideration before making plans first. That’s just selfish behavior; the kind of selfishness that is detrimental to relationships.
7. “Are you on your period again?”
This is just downright ignorant and disrespectful. Yes, you can have your mood swings sometimes. There are moments wherein you feel weak and you just want to lash out. There will be times wherein your emotions will overwhelm you. And it’s really not right for him to be chalking it up to you having your period. And he shouldn’t be making light of your bodily functions like that. It’s immature and shallow.
