Traumatized Groom Asks Wedding Photographer for a Refund After His Wife Dies in a Car Crash – They Refuse

Today’s heartbreaking story comes from Colorado, USA. It’s about a husband who loses his wife-to-be when she passes away after being in a car crash. Upon the traumatizing revelation, the husband sadly got refunds from all of the wedding planning companies, and everyone obliged without question – except for the wedding photographer who mocked the groom.

Justin Montney & Alexis Wyatt were meant to get married until the sad day when his wife passed away at 22. Upon receiving the shocking news, the traumatized and distraught husband tried to pick up the pieces of his life back slowly.

He asked all of the wedding planning companies for refunds, all of them paid him back without a second thought, except for the $1,800 paid to the wedding videographer – who refused and mocked the disturbed and broken husband online.

  1. What a horrible person he is you lost your beautiful wife to be and he will not give you the money back . I say he should pay you it back like the other people did . He is shocking how he is treating you.

  2. I really hope Karma finds that man and gets him good. You DO NOT mock ANYBODY hurting and especially bring up such pain as someone who passed on. Who does that?! It’s pure evil. I hope he looses EVERYTHING, pos!

  3. People need to make a living. Sorry for your loss but I agree with the photographer / videographer whoever he was. I don’t work for free, and I don’t expect anyone else to either. I would have never asked anyone for a refund… I think that’s messed up in the first place to ask someone to do their job for free. But that’s neither here nor there. If they said no just take that, and no negative feelings toward the videographer. He should be grateful that everyone else refunded when they didn’t need to.

    1. He didn’t work for free. He didn’t take a single photo or spend a minute at the wedding as it didn’t happen. Very rare circumstances require a very sympathetic understanding and the photographer wasn’t out of pocket. No cutting, pasting, printing. They should have a refund less a deposit.

    2. What work did he do here? Am I missing something? Sounds like he paid to do the wedding that never happened so what work did he do? He did nothing and gets to keep 1800? Your a bit out of touch here I think.

    3. Except he never actually did the work so how is that working for free? Also, he didn’t need to be so heartless with the nasty comments towards the groom and the brides mother. What he did was disgusting regardless of any monetary issues.

    4. But they didn’t do any work. They hadn’t gotten married yet. So the videographer got free money without working

    5. He didn’t even do the wedding yet! It was a deposit! So he didn’t work at all. Given the extenuating circumstances, he should’ve refunded the DEPOSIT!

    6. A photographer here. What work did he actually do here please enlighten me? Yes he signed the contract stating non-refundable fee. But a bit of compassion wouldn’t kill you. It’s not that the wife-to-be died on purpose. I hope you aren’t a business person otherwise it would be unfortunate for your clients to hire a heartless people like you

    7. They didn’t get the service, she passed before they were supposed to get married, what a joke this videographer is

    8. You seem to lack a lot of reading comprehension as it was stated clearly that the fiancé passed away BEFORE the wedding therefore the videographer never actually did any service or work.

  4. Such a sad situation, and how the videographer handled it was unbelievable. It makes you feel like you need references and a background check on anyone you do business with. My deepest sympathy to the grim and the family.

  5. This man has an evil heart! It is bad enough to refuse the refund, but the things he has posted on social media to the groom to be and the mom is horrendous! Karma will bite him in the ass! I hop no one else hires him!
