According to a new BBC documentary, the Tesla founder believes his ex-girlfriend, Claire Elise Boucher, professionally known as Grimes, is so perfect that she might be a simulation in his brain.
The documentary The Elon Musk Show also reveals that the Canadian singer and songwriter also agrees with the tech mogul’s new weird theory.
According to Vanity Fair journalist Devin Gordon, in a recent interview, Grimes told him about Musk’s mind-boggling theory.
“She [Grimes] told me repeatedly that Musk has this theory of her that she’s not real,” said Gordon. “That she’s a simulation who was created by him and exists in his cerebral cortex as sort of the perfect companion to him. Which sounds a little crazy and maybe even a little creepy, except, she agrees with it. She said she does feel like this simulation which was perfectly created for him.”
“Her interests are all the same as his, and her music is very technologically oriented, and they both made a similar nerdy joke about a scary AI theory of the future.” He added.
The SpaceX engineer and the pop star first interacted on Twitter, where Elon is very active, and they both laughed over a tech joke in 2018.
Later, they made their public appearance as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala and made their relationship official.
“They’ve been seeing each other but have been keeping their relationship under the radar,” a source revealed to the Daily Mail.
The now ex-couple share two kids together – a two-year-old son named X Æ A-Xi and year old daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl.
According to People, the couple ended their relationship earlier this year after Grimes opened up about their relationship in an interview with Vanity Fair.
“I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid, we just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it,” she said in March.
A few reports suggest that the couple broke up in 2021 after the birth of their daughter, Exa, but they still loved each other.
“The couple broke up in 2021 after three years and two children together, with the billionaire citing his work with Tesla and SpaceX as keeping him in Texas and too busy to be with Boucher, who was mainly in LA,” wrote Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, the tech titan also revealed that they had been living separately after becoming parents for the second time, but their bond and love is still strong and intact.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms. It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or travel overseas, and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now, and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
The richest man in the world is a father to ten children, who he shares with three women.
Earlier this year, one of Musk’s children cut ties with him and legally changed her name because of his controversial opinions about LGBTQ+.
“I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.” Said Xavier Alexander after coming out as a trans female.
