Closer Weekly has reported that the Rocky Balboa star Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Stallone are parting ways after a long marriage of two and a half decades.
“It’s over. Sylvester Stallone and wife Jennifer Stallone (née Flavin) have split, as Jennifer filed for divorce from Sylvester on August 19,” Closer Weekly confirmed. “The couple is calling it quits after 25 years of marriage.”
“I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues,” one of the actor’s representatives released an official statement on his behalf.
“Jennifer, 54, filed paperwork in Palm Beach County, Florida. She cited the reason for their split as ‘the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken,’ according to court documents obtained by Closer.”
“She is seeking to restore her name to Jennifer Lee Flavin. She is asking that certain assets and liabilities that they’ve accumulated during the course of their 25-year marriage be ‘equitably distributed.’”
According to Daily Mail, tensions were increasing between the couple, and news of their marriage being on the rocks was circulated on social media last week.
“The Rocky star has just had a giant tattoo of Jennifer on his right bicep covered – with a picture of Butkus, Rocky’s bull mastiff from the hit movies.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer also hinted about their split on her Instagram, where she shared a picture with her three daughters.
“These girls are my priority,” she captioned her photo on August 10. “Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.”
Flavin, who is 22 years younger than her than Sylvester, has also unfollowed him on Instagram.
However, earlier this week, a rep for Stallone told the media that it was mere speculations and that nothing was wrong between the two.
“Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer; however, the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable.
“As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus.”
“Mr. Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+.”
But clearly, everything was WRONG between the couple, and now it’s been confirmed!
