On July 14, 2022, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner became parents for the second time.
The star couple tied the knot in May 2019 in Las Vegas and has always been recognized as one of the happy couples in Hollywood.
In July 2020, Joe and Sophie welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Willa. Now after exactly two years, they announced the birth of their second daughter.
“Joe and Sophie are happy to announce the arrival of their baby girl,” their representative told People.
In her interview with Elle UK, the Game of Thrones actress confirmed that she was expecting another child.
“It’s what life is about for me – raising the next generation. The greatest thing in life is seeing my daughter go from strength to strength. We’re so excited to be expanding the family. It’s the best blessing ever.” Sophie said.
After welcoming baby girl no. 2, Joe shared an adorable video of himself and Sophie on his Instagram.
The video came on July 15, just a day after their younger daughter was born. The 32-year-old singer and actor shared a touching with wife Sophie Turner sharing some lovely moments from past years and ended it with a recent photo where Sophie was showing off her baby bump.
“Started from the bottom now we’re here…I want to see your love story.” He captioned the video.
The couple doesn’t share much about their private life on social media. Still, both Turner and Jonas have shared their feelings about parenthood on several occasions and expressed their passion for children.
“It’s been amazing. It’s been forced time at home. I’m always on the go, I’m always moving and traveling and touring. And to be in one place for a solid amount of time and having my feet on the ground and be with my family, my immediate family, is time I don’t think I’ll get back.”
“I’m so thankful and grateful.” Joe said while speaking to CBS This Morning.
In May 2021, Sophie posted a story on her Instagram and wrote,
“I’m so grateful to the two loves of my life for making me a mama, Joe Jonas, and my beautiful baby girl. It’s my favorite job I’ve ever had.”
Later she spoke to The Wrap and said that motherhood had made her a better actor as she got to experience life at its fullest.
“It’s made me a better actor for becoming a mother—because the only way to become a really brilliant actor is to experience as much life as possible and to bring those experiences in.”
The news of Joe’s second daughter came a few months after his elder brother Nick welcomed his first child with actress Priyanka Chopra.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.” The couple wrote in a joint statement in January 2022.
US Weekly reported that since then, Nick and Priyanka have spent most of their time adjusting to the new chapter of their lives with their baby.
“They’re making it work as new parents as best as they can. They’ve always loved each other but seeing each other become new parents is special to both of them. They’re spending time focusing on their newborn and are keeping the baby very private and away from the public and social media.” An insider revealed to the outlet.
