Kim Kardashian honored her late dad, Robert Kardashian, and stepparent Caitlyn Jenner in a belated Father’s Day Post on Instagram. However, it could be noticed that her ex-husband, Kanye West, with whom she shared her four children, was absent in the tribute.
In a series of old photos shared by the SKIMS founder on her Instagram feed, fans could see her and sister Kourtney being held by their late father, Robert, an attorney and businessman from California, US, who died of Esophageal cancer in September 2003.
A second photo showed Kim and Kourtney posing next to their late dad when they were older. The next picture was taken at the same event, but this time, the Kardashian sister posed by standing next to their stepparent, Caitlyn Jenner.
The post also included two family portraits, including Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob, with their parents. Another family photo replacing Robert with Caitlyn showed the Kardashians being all smiles and dressed up while posing.
“Best to ever do it! I wouldn’t be me if it weren’t for you two. Thank you. Happy Father’s Day,” Kim captioned her cute post.
However, the reality star didn’t add any picture with her former husband, Kanye West, who is a father to her four children – North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three.
The couple parted ways in 2020 and fought an ugly legal battle before finally settling the divorce in November 2022. In the divorce settlement, she receives “$200,000-a-month in child support”, the $4.5 million house he bought next door, and parenting disputes will be resolved through mediation
A new custody agreement, parenting plans, and the division of the couple’s multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio were also reached. According to TMZ, it was determined that West, 45, and Kardashian would share joint custody and have ‘equal access’ to their four children.
The exes agreed to attend mediation. If one does not attend the session, the attending parent makes the decision.
In her recent interviews, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has very clearly opened up about her parenting struggles with Kanye as her ex.
“Parenting is the thing that has taught me the most about myself. It has been the most challenging thing,” she continues. “There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this f—ing tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?” she told Jay Shetty on his podcast last month.
“You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they’re fighting, and you know, there’s no one there… Like, it’s [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop.”
Later in the premiere episode of The Kardashians, the mum-of-four discussed the heartache and emotional and mental torture she has been through because of the Flashing Lights rapper, who never missed a chance to hurt her with his controversial statements and actions.
Discussing her emotional trauma with her mum, Kris Jenner, 67, Kim said she had had a lot of guilt in her heart after her breakup with Pete Davidson, as the SNL star went through a lot because of her ex-husband and his dirty shenanigans.
“All of his shenanigans [are] going to be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be,” she told her mom on the show. “I spent my whole morning having an anxiety attack. I felt like I just couldn’t breathe all day. You know when you just are on the verge of tears it’s like your throat is about to cry? That’s how I felt all day.”
She also accused Ye of starting a rumor against her that she was cheating on him with Drake while they were still married and also used her infamous 2007 ‘sex tape’ and used to bring it up whenever he could.
“Even through all the craziness of things that Kanye says about us like I never comment, I never post,” Kim confessed. “Like, he has made up the most insane narrative about you and the tape and we stay silent and we stay silent through all the lies, all the stuff.”
“I think I can handle anything, I just get really heartbroken for my mom that she has to deal with so much from so many different sides,” she continued. “He looks so down on me for my [sex] tape and like brings it up all over town.”
