Morgan Freeman could not attend a press trip to the UK with his co-stars from Special Ops: Lioness due to falling ill.
The 86-year-old American actor chose to remain in the United States after developing a ‘fever’, and doctors suspected that he had contracted a ‘contagious infection.’
Freeman had originally planned to travel to the UK to promote his new spy thriller Special Ops: Lioness alongside his co-stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman.
However, Morgan stayed in the US and was noticeably missing from several press engagements in London. Meanwhile, Zoe and Nicole attended a screening of their Paramount+ show on Tuesday.
The two actresses also appeared on The One Show, where host Alex Jones expressed her disappointment that Morgan couldn’t be present.
According to his representative, Morgan had to cancel his trip due to a fever and a contagious infection. However, he is now feeling fine.
While Morgan prepares for the release of his upcoming project, the Paramount+ series Special Ops: Lioness, his co-stars Zoe and Nicole have been busy with a packed press schedule. They attended a photocall at IET London and a screening at Tate Britain on Tuesday.

Bassem Youssef takes on the role of Amrohi, a self-made billionaire businessman with connections to terrorism. He initially builds his wealth through legitimate means but later profits from the wars that devastate the Middle East, despite his efforts to rebuild the region.
The series is executive produced by Zoe and Nicole and is a production of MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios for Paramount+.
The cast includes talented actors, including Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Stephanie Nur, and Hannah Love Lanier.
