Recently the John Wick actor surprised an English couple by making an unplanned entry at their wedding reception.
Reeves was staying at a four-star hotel in Northamptonshire, where he reportedly went to work on a Formula One documentary for Disney+.
“The Hollywood actor, 57, crossed paths with Nikki and James Roadnight on their big day because he was staying at their four-star hotel, where rooms begin at £266-per-night and reach up to £495.” Wrote Daily Mail.
According to Newsweek, when the hotel owner and groom-to-be saw Keanu in his hotel bar, he immediately invited him to his wedding reception.
“My husband saw him in the bar area and told him he’d just got married and invited Keanu to come over to say hello and have a drink with us if he wanted to,” Nikki told Newsweek. “He was very friendly and said he would later on. We didn’t know if he would or not, but it was cool that my husband had spoken to him!”
Nikki said that during the ceremony, a hotel staff member came to her and told her that a ‘very special’ guest came to give her his blessings on her special day.
And when she went to receive the guest, it was none other than Mr. Keanu Reeves!
“It was all very exciting and I went to say hi and introduce myself, and I offered him a drink but he declined that and said he’d just had a long flight so wouldn’t stay long but he was so kind and friendly and congratulated us on our wedding,” she said.
“He was kind enough to do some pictures and our wedding photographer was able to capture some too! Then he took the time to speak to some of our guests and have more photos done!”
She further said that all the guests at the reception were stunned to see Keanu among them.
“My mum, Jo, took photos and shouted for everyone to yell ‘Speed‘ as she took the photo. We laughed about that as it’s one of his older films! We are big fans. I absolutely loved The Matrix movies and really big fans of the John Wick films too! It was so cool!”
“The wedding was absolutely perfect anyway and we had the most magical day,” she told the outlet. “Keanu Reeves dropping by to say hello was just out of this world. Something to remember and the start of many more adventures together.”
After the news became viral, some Keanu lovers took to Twitter and expressed their thoughts about the event.
Some even said there’s no point in getting married if Keanu won’t attend their wedding.
