The Vampire Diaries actor officially files for divorce from Ines de Ramon amid her romance with Brad Pitt.
“The Vampire Diaries alum, 40, filed the paperwork in Los Angeles on Friday, February 17, per documents obtained by Us, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split,” Us Weekly revealed.
“According to the docs, separate and community property and assets will be determined later. Wesley appears to be acting as his own attorney.”
The couple announced their split last year in September.
“The decision to separate is mutual and occurred five months ago. They request privacy at this time,” one of the actor’s representatives confirmed the news to Us Weekly on September 19, 2022.
Wesley started dating de Ramon in 2018, nearly five years after his split from first wife Torry Devitto – the couple tied the knot in 2011, and just after two years, they got separated.
In 2018, Paul shared a photo on his Instagram that included Ines and fans speculated she was his new love interest.
“The Vampire Diaries alum, 40, was first romantically linked to Ramon, 32, a jewelry professional, in June 2018 when they were seen holding hands after a dinner date in New York City,” PEOPLE reported.
“Less the one year later, the couple started wearing wedding bands,” per Us Weekly.
Page Six states, “De Ramon — who has since gone private on social media — gave fans a glimpse into the former couple’s special day on their anniversary when she posted photos from the big day on Instagram.”
“In the photos, de Ramon stunned in a feathered white wedding dress while Wesley pulled her in for a kiss on the beach.”
In June 2019, his former co-star Nina Dobrev confirmed that the pair had tied the knot and they were very much in love with each other.
“We hang out a lot. We’re really good friends. I love his wife. It’s so funny how time changes everything because I never thought he would be one of my best friends.”
The ex-couple also went on double dates with Nina and her boyfriend, Shaun White.
In 2020, the 40-year-old American actor spoke to PEOPLE for the 2020 Sexiest Man Alive issue and shared that he had a good time with his partner Ines during the Covid-19 pandemic when the entire world was observing back-to-back lockdowns and everything else was just shut down.
“I’m in a fortunate position where I was able to take a break, and it was so important for me to do it. For me, I reset. I recalibrated. Kind of realized what was important to me reprioritized my life.”
According to PEOPLE magazine, the couple separated in April 2022 but didn’t announce their split on social media as they are both very private people.
However, in August 2022, fans spotted Paul Wesley holding hands with model Natalie Kuchenburg in public – without his wedding ring!
Following her split with Wesley, Ines started going out with the Bullet Train star, Brad Pitt.
In November 2022, People Magazine reported that the 58-year-old actor had been going out with Paul Wesley’s ex-wife, and it has already been a few months since their relationship began.
“A source close to Ines de Ramon says she met Brad Pitt “through a mutual friend,” while a source close to Pitt added, ‘It’s not an exclusive relationship.’”
Ramon got photographed alongside Brad at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles at a Bono Concert.
“Brad is really into her,” an insider revealed to People. “They met through a mutual friend. She is very nice.”
Meanwhile, another source close to Angelina’s ex-husband stated, “They have recently started dating, but it’s not an exclusive relationship. Ines is cute, fun, and energetic. She has a great personality. Brad enjoys spending time with her“, the source added.
Later, Us Weekly reported that the couple is officially together and love is in the air for them.
“Brad and Ines are officially dating now, they really enjoy each other’s company and are having a great time in the early stages of an early relationship, but are still getting to know each other,” a source revealed to the publication.
The pair also attended a Bono concert together with married couple Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.
