Shakira is reportedly not fazed by her 13-year age difference with NBA star Jimmy Butler amid their romance rumors.
“They have been out a few times, but things are very new and it’s too early to tell if there’s long-term potential there,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly, adding that their 13-year age difference “doesn’t bother” Shakira, 46, “whatsoever.”
The source continued, “Jimmy makes Shakira smile, and she feels happy spending time with him.”
The new rumors came only a month after the Waka Waka superstar singer sparked dating rumors with the F1 racer, Lewis Hamilton.
It was been reported last month that the Colombian singer has been spending time with the British race car driver and even watched him compete in F1 Spanish Grand Prix last week.
According to PEOPLE, the pair are ‘getting close’ and keeping things ‘fun and flirty’ at the moment.
“They’re spending time together and in the ‘getting to know you’ stage,” a source close to the new potential couple told the publication. “It’s fun and flirty.”
Rumors about them growing closer emerged after the Hips Don’t Lie singer attended the F1 Grand Prix in Barcelona, Spain, where the 38-year-old car racer drover for Mercedes and came in second place.
“Following the event, the pair went out for dinner and drinks with a group of friends including Daniel Caesar, Fai Khadra and Mustafa, who shared a photo from the outing to his Instagram Story,” per PEOPLE.
“In the image, which saw Hamilton seated next to Shakira with his hand around her waist, the group was all smiles as they enjoyed cocktails.”
The pair also hung out last month in Miami, where they were spotted having fun with friends on a boat outing after Shakira attended the 2023 Grand Prix.
A day prior to the Miami Grand Prix, Shakira received Billboard’s First Woman of the Year Award at the Inaugural Latin Women in Music Gala.
“This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I’ve felt more than ever — and very personally — what it is to be a woman,” she said during her acceptance speech.
“It’s been a year where I’ve realized we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be,” she added. “Because what woman hasn’t at some time in her life forgotten herself because she’s seeking the attention and love of someone else? It happened to me, more than once.”
The Whenever, Wherever hitmaker is mom to two kids, Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8 – she shares both her kids with Pique. The pair were together for 12 years before parting ways in June 2022.
The split announcement came on June 4, 2022, when Shakira’s publicist made a statement on her behalf.
“We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”
The announcement was made when rumors about the 35-year-old footballer were circulating that he was cheating on Shakira.
The South American singer allegedly found out that Pique was cheating on her when she returned home to an eaten jar of strawberry jam.
Meanwhile, Hamilton, 38, has been linked to several famous women romantically, including Nicki Minaj, and Rita Ora, after ending his seven-year-long relationship with Nicole Scherzinger.
As per Marca, it has been revealed that Hamilton has been set up with Shakira by his best buddy and Formula 1 racer, Carlos Sainz, 28.
The claim has been made by Spanish journalist Pipi Estrada.
“Are they friends or is this a story of Instagram I follow you and invite you to dinner?” asked Emma Garcia from Pipi on Fiesta, a Spanish TV show.
“It is because of friends in common. She knows that Hamilton likes her music and, all of a sudden, she gets the bug to know about Formula 1 and that’s how they got together,” he explained.
“There is a key thing in this relationship,” Estrada added. “Carlos Sainz knows Shakira and Carlos Sainz has a very good relationship with Hamilton. That’s where they’ve come together. That’s where this relationship is born, with Carlos Sainz.”
