Taylor Daniel Lautner, popular as Taylor Lautner, is best known for his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight movie series.
His other notable projects include Abduction, Run the Tide, Tracers, Home Team, Grown Ups 2, and Valentine’s Day.
Before meeting Dome, Lautner dated several ladies from the media industry, including Taylor Swift, Lilly Collins, Marie Avgeropoulos, and Billie Lourd.
In 2018, Lautner was introduced to his now-fiancée Taylor Dome – Lautner’s sister Makena Moore introduced the duo while he was on a break from acting.
“I wanted to take a step back, enjoy life, and spend time with my family and friends. And I met my fiancée out of it, so it all worked out.” He told People.
A few months later, the couple made their relationship official. Three years later, in November 2021, Lautner proposed to Dome and posted a few pictures from the occasion on his official Instagram account.
“And just like that, all of my wishes came true,” he captioned his photo from the moment when he asked Dome to marry him.
Dome also shared the same picture on her Instagram and wrote, “My absolute best friend … I CANNOT WAIT TO SPEND FOREVER WITH YOU.”
Recently the 30-year-old actor appeared on the Kelly Clarkson Show and revealed that his wife-to-be, Taylor Dome, will take his surname ‘Lautner’
Which will make her Taylor Lautner – technically, both will have the same name.
“[I was] like, are you into this last name? Because we already share one name. So it’s gonna be extra complicated,” he told Kelly.
“We’re literally going to be the same person. We either keep it super simple or super complicated.” He added. “And you know what, a lot of people including our friends call us ‘boy Tay’ and ‘girl Tay’ when they address us… you know, to avoid confusion.” He laughed.
In another interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Lautner said he proposed to Dome in their kitchen.
“I am so narcissistic that I wanted to marry somebody so I could just call them Taylor Lautner,” he joked.
Lautner said of their engagement, “its right in our kitchen like the fireplace is right next to our kitchen. And this is what I love about my fiancée; she’s like, ‘I don’t want anything special. I just like, one night we are having dinner and after you cook, just do it in the kitchen. Like, super simple.”
Lautner told Jimmy that he proposed to Dome in their kitchen because it was her wish, but he made sure he did it the ‘right way.’
Speaking of one of the most romantic moments of their lives, he said that when Dome saw what he did with the kitchen with rose petals and candles everywhere, she started crying.
“She is not really a crier, but she was weeping so hard she couldn’t even walk. And I was on my mark because I wanted the photos and stuff, and I was like, ‘Do I have to get off my mark?’ So I did, and I said to her, ‘babe, I gotta say a couple of things, so can you please come over here with me?’
‘There were like three hundred candles”, he added.
He also said that Dome initially was not ‘Team Jacob’, and she loved Robert in the movie, but he tried and convinced her that his character was also loveable.
“She was die-hard Team Edward. But, you know, I converted her.”
