Even though a lot of people who engage in unfaithfulness and cheating in their relationships know that what they’re doing is wrong, it doesn’t necessarily serve as a foolproof deterrent. They know that when they cheat, they are potentially placing their relationships in peril. And yet, they still do so. They still engage in acts of infidelity. And why is that? Of course, the reasons can vary from a case to case basis depending on the people involved. And if you’re looking to find out more about those reasons, the continue to read this article until its end.
1. Poor sense of self-esteem.
If a woman has a very low sense of self-esteem, she is going to need a lot of validation, love, and attention. And sometimes, whatever you might give may not necessarily be enough for her. And that’s when she’s going to turn to another man for some validation. She might turn to another man for some attention. And these are all symptoms of her low sense of self-esteem.
You might have done something to her that really hurt her in the past. Or perhaps, you may have cheated on her at least once in your relationship as well. And that’s why she’s driven to cheat on you. She is motivated by a sense of vengeance. She wants to be able to inflict the same kind of pain on you, and that’s why she might cheat on you. She wants you to feel exactly what it’s like to be betrayed by someone you love.
3. Loneliness, solitude, and neglect.
She might feel lonely even though she’s in a relationship with you. Perhaps she doesn’t feel like you’re giving her the attention that she needs from you. Maybe she still feels alone and that’s why she’s going to grab on to any other guy who gives her the least bit of attention.
4. Unsatisfied sexual needs.
Maybe you’re just not doing it for her inside the confines of the bedroom. Perhaps, you’re just not able to give her everything that she needs from you in the sack. And that’s why she’s starting to look outside of your relationship. That’s why she’s starting to turn to other guys for sexual stimulation.
As simple as it might sound, she just might be bored in your relationship. There are just some people out there who are constantly looking for drama. There are some girls who always need to have something exciting going on in their lives. And when things start to get a little too stable in their relationships, they will try to shake things up by having an affair. They will inject a little unhealthy drama into the mix.
6. Lack of intimacy in the relationship.
She may just not be feeling like she is getting intimate with you anymore. And at the end of the day, any human being is always going to crave for some sense of intimacy with another person. And if she’s not getting that kind of intimacy in her own relationship, then she’s going to want to seek elsewhere. That’s why she’s going to end up having an affair with someone else.
7. Unmet expectations.
You may be a pure disappointment to her. And that might not even be necessarily your fault. Some women just bring disappointment unto themselves by having unreasonably high expectations. She may have been expecting so much going into your relationship, and that’s why she ended up being disappointed. Her expectations were unrealistic, and her disappointment has led her to seek satisfaction outside of the relationship that you’re in.
8. Lack of an outside social life.
She might not have a social life outside of your relationship, and that pressure might be getting to her. She might hate that she’s always looking at you for her social fulfillment; and that’s why she’s going to resort to finding another boyfriend.
9. Displeasure with the relationship as a whole.
Maybe she’s just looking for an out. Maybe she’s just looking for a way to get out of the relationship. Maybe she wants to break up with you but she doesn’t have the guts to do so in a direct manner. And that’s why she resorts to cheating on you. It’s a form of self-sabotage on your own relationship. She’s effectively trying to destroy everything you’ve built by engaging in infidelity.
10. Sex addiction.
You might laugh and think that this isn’t a viable reason and that it’s just a copout that women use to cheat on their men. But sex addiction is very much a real thing. You shouldn’t take it lightly. Like any other form of addiction, sex addiction is a mental illness. And it needs to be treated like any other form of the physical condition. And when that’s the case, you need to choose if you’re going to help her through her problems; or if you’re going to leave her to fend for herself because she has hurt you.
