10 Signs That You Are Emotionally And Mentally Exhausted

The human body is an interesting thing. It’s just so inherently complex and there are so many moving parts at play that all require our attention. And there are even a lot of things about your body that you might not have necessarily come to understand yet.

You know that your body is capable of such great strength with how you are able to overcome any challenges that you are presented with.

And yet, you also know that your body is vulnerable and that you must always be doing whatever you can to take care of it. You aren’t invincible after all.

When you go through really long stretches of emotional exhaustion and mental stress, you are prone to falling down a very deep emotional hole. It can feel like you are experiencing depression even when it’s not necessarily the case.

You try your best to pick yourself up and persevere.

You want to keep moving forward and so you try adjusting your mindset in an attempt to make yourself stronger. However, it still feels like a huge boulder is on your shoulders and is weighing you down. You try to up conjure whatever energy you have left to keep your pace. However, you just can’t help but feel sluggish and weary.

The reason why you don’t feel your best is because sometimes, your soul actually needs some time to heal before your body will show a willingness to respond. You have to know that your body isn’t just a physical structure.

It’s a mental, emotional, and (depending on your beliefs) a spiritual one as well.

All of these parts of you are going to require some kind of rest and recuperation once you undergo fatigue. It’s the same with the physical parts of your body. You can’t always be going full-speed ahead without thinking about the repercussions. Granted, you can’t really SEE your soul or your mental state of being.

However, it’s still important that you keep tabs on everything that’s going on inside of you. You have to be taking the recovery of your soul and mind very seriously as you would your body.

If you ignore all the signs that you are undergoing emotional exhaustion, then you risk burning yourself out and losing yourself completely. You don’t want that to be the case. You don’t want that to happen. If you don’t heed the signs, then you risk developing some more serious mental health issues that will be more difficult to recover from.

If you notice that a lot of the signs listed here actually apply to you, it might be best to take a breather for a while. Look at your life now and try to take everything into perspective. And only push forward once you’re sure that you’re ready to do so.

  1. You feel like you just want to keep on lying down all day.
  2. There is an aching sensation throughout various parts of your body.
  3. You don’t really know how to put your feelings into words.

  8. You often feel bitter about everything even though you have a compassionate soul.
  9. Your body just feels weak and immobile.

If you are genuinely feeling a lot of the things listed here, then you really need to find the time to prioritize yourself and just take care of your soul. Go ahead and just rest for a bit. Take more time to do the things that you love to do. Pursue the things that you are passionate about and try to avoid the things that give you stress. Set your phone aside and try to block out all of the distractions for a bit. Don’t give any people a way to stress you out.

Draw a nice bath for yourself and just lay in the water. Go ahead and read your favorite books in your undisturbed private corner of the house. Listen to all your favorite songs as you really take in the music. Avoid toxic people and push away all negative thoughts that might enter your mind. Try to balance out the energy that you are feeling.

If you learn to really listen to the desires of your soul, then you will be better equipped to take care of yourself as you get older. You should just always be doing your best to eliminate negative energy from your life. And sometimes, that negative energy can come from within you.
