Reality star Tammy Slaton stunned fans with her impressive weight loss.
In a new series of photos on Instagram, the 36-year-old TV personality revealed her transition after losing nearly 300 pounds.
More than 82K people liked her weight-revealing post, and thousands of people commented and applauded Tammy for achieving this milestone.
“I think I speak for everyone when I say WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU,” one fan wrote.
“Omg Tammy you look amazing! And no more trach! I have cried on every episode this season! You freakin’ did it girl! I am so proud of you!” another said.
“Tammy I am so proud of you! I always knew you could do it. You look great & we can tell you’re genuinely happy. I look forward to watching you transform into who you’re meant to be!” a third commented.
According to Page Six, “A few days prior, a mixed martial arts company called Southern Indiana Combat Production gave fans a better look at Slaton’s transformation in a series of photos posted on Facebook.”
The snaps showed Tammy who used to weigh over 700lbs, standing on her feet without her wheelchair for the first time in ages.
“She was accompanied by her co-star and sister, Amy Slaton, as the pair held up a championship belt while smiling for photos.”
Slaton’s weight loss occurred after she went through bariatric surgery last year.
Over the years, fans have watched the TV star enduring many hardships due to her excessive weight – 717 lbs.
In the latest season of her 1000-Lb Sisters show, fans saw Tammy achieving her goal weight to qualify for bariatric surgery.
“She needed to drop from 717 lbs. to 550 lbs. in order to qualify for weight loss surgery, and, much to her excitement, she made it down to 534 lbs,” per PEOPLE.
“When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kinda stopped breathing for a second,” said Slaton.
“I’m like 14 lbs. under my goal weight. From over 700, that’s a huge drop. I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited — just all the emotions. I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got mine! My told-you-so moment!”
During the last many months, Tammy spent considerable time at a food rehab center, where she worked on herself to reduce her weight.
In the rehab center, Tammy met Caleb Willingham, a 39-year-old guy who fell in love with her and eventually proposed to her.
The couple tied the knot in November 2022.
“You all knew me as Tammy Slaton, but now you’ll all know me as Mrs. Tammy Willingham,” she told PEOPLE. “I’m married now!”
According to The Sun, a source close to Slaton revealed, “She began dating Caleb in rehab, and I’m so happy they met in person and were not dating online.”
“They have a lot of the same struggles that they can share. They’ve been a huge support for each other [in rehab], which is awesome.”
