1. You like to start a lot of unnecessary arguments.
Sometimes, there will be times wherein you will feel particularly vulnerable in your relationship. And whenever that’s the case, it’s not really all that uncommon for you to start fights with your partner. Sometimes, it might be little spats and nags but it can also boil over to some really legitimate arguments. This is natural in any kind of relationship. But when you actually reject love, you start fights that don’t even need to happen in the first place. And it might not even be enough that you start unnecessary fights; you might even go and prevent these arguments from being solved in a natural and organic manner. If you really want to accept love, you need to take a step back and just look at things from a more holistic perspective. If you’re starting up some pretty petty fights over nothing, it might be because you’re rejecting love.
2. You shut down emotionally.
It’s practically impossible for anyone to accept love without first coming to terms with how they feel on the inside. Whenever a person shuts down emotionally, it’s one of the many signs that they are rejecting love without even trying to do so. You might begin to feel a little vulnerable and so you detach yourself from your feelings and emotions in an effort to keep safe. But that might jus mean that you’re pushing away the love that walks into your life. 3. You settle for something less than you deserve.
There will be some situations wherein you find yourself dating someone who you know isn’t treating you the way that you deserve to be treated. That’s normal. Not everyone in the world is going to be able to meet your standards and expectations. However, if you just keep on settling for these kinds of people, then know that you’re also inadvertently rejecting the love that you are truly deserving of. You might think that settling for a relationship is better than being single. But that’s not always the case. Know that you are also depriving yourself of the chance to actually go out and pursue the love that you have always been meant for.
4. You compare yourself to others.
And lastly, if you compare yourself to other people to an unhealthy extent, then that might be a sign that you reject the love of others. How? And when you have low self-esteem, then it makes it a lot more difficult for you to welcome love into your life. So, instead of just comparing yourself to other people, try to just focus on yourself and how you stack up to your own goals and expectations.
