It might be safe to assume that most people would be in agreement that it’s always nice to find true love in life. A lot of us are going to devote a lot of our time, energy, and attention to finding love for ourselves.
We all long for that one person who could just walk into our lives and make our hearts run straight out of our chests. We all long for that single individual who just manages to make us catch our breaths at the mere sight of them.
However, true love isn’t something that comes too easily. It’s not something that you can grow overnight. Love is something that is built over a lifetime. Everything all begins with subtle signs of chemistry and spark between the two of you.
But it’s going to take a whole lot more than just those things to sustain a relationship. You are going to need a whole lot of trust, patience, commitment, effort, and luck for everything to turn out to your favor.
And what happens when you are actually in the thick of the relationship only to realize that you aren’t meant for each other after all? Do you think you would be able to cope with all of the disappointment and sorrow that might come out of that circumstance? Will you be able to move on in life knowing that your hopes on love have all been shattered?
Typically, you would want to get into a relationship with someone because it always feels good whenever you are around that person. And that is why you should definitely take it as a red flag if you feel unhappy whenever you are in the presence of this particular person. It might be a sign that your love is false and untrue.
It’s not always going to be easy to figure out whether your partner’s love for you is real or not. However, you still have to try to stay on top of all the little things. You really have to learn to pay attention to the details. You have to look for all the subtle clues in the way they treat you and the way that they act when they’re around you.
You don’t want to be wasting your time on a relationship where the love just isn’t real. For one, you would only end up feeling miserable for forcing yourself in that situation in the first place. Two, you would be depriving yourself of the opportunity to actually go out and find the love that is meant for you. And lastly, you’re going to just break up anyway. You are merely prolonging the inevitable.
If you notice that a lot of the things listed here actually apply to your relationship, then you might want to take a long hard look in the mirror of your love. Come to terms with the truth and accept that you aren’t meant to be.
1. They don’t really acknowledge your existence anymore.
You never really feel like you are a significant part of your partner’s life anymore. Your partner doesn’t really do anything to acknowledge your presence or your existence. You’re like a mere shadow on the wall of your partner’s life.
2. You feel that the chemistry is just off.
You just sense that the chemistry between the two of you is off somehow. You aren’t really in sync anymore. You might have felt that spark when you were just starting off but it has somehow dwindled away.
3. You both feel generally unhappy when you’re together.
You are always just unhappy whenever you’re together. The overall mood and energy are down when you’re spending time with one another. That is a sign that your relationship is draining all of the happiness out of you as individuals.
4. You are not on the receiving end of compliments anymore.
You don’t really receive any compliments from your partner anymore. In the past, you always used to feel good about yourself. But nowadays, your partner doesn’t seem to be expressing much interest in your life at all.
5. You often feel judged and criticized.
You always get the sense that your partner is judging and criticizing you for something. You can never feel safe to just be who you are in your relationship anymore. You no longer feel like your own relationship is a sanctuary where you can just be your true self.
