1. You both still genuinely care about making things work in your relationship.
If you are both still genuinely invested in making your relationship work, then you still have a legitimate shot at actually succeeding. Remember that your relationship is never going to end until the both of you decide to end it yourselves. So if you’re both still willing to make things work, then you’re going to always be giving yourselves a shot. You are giving yourselves a chance. And that’s all you really need – a chance to make things better.
2. You both show a willingness to make compromises for the sake of your love.
At the end of the day, coexistence is just never going to be possible when there is no compromise. It’s just virtually impossible for two very different and unique individuals to live a life together when they are unable and unwilling to meet each other halfway.
That’s why you should always take it as a good sign if the both of you are always willing to make compromises and sacrifices for your relationship. This is proof that the both of you understand that there are greater things at stake here and it’s not just who you are as individuals. It shows that you are both willing to put the needs of your partner and of the relationship above your own.
3. The thought of fixing your relationship makes the both of you happy and hopeful.
Hope. It’s the one thing we can all really believe in even when everything seems so dire and dreadful. When the both of you remain hopeful and optimistic about the future of your relationship, then it’s definitely a relationship that is still worth holding on to.
It just shows that the both of you know – even on a subconscious level – that you are going to be able to get through whatever troubles you might be going through now. It shows that the both of you envision a future where you’re both alright; and you’re willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that your hopes come to life.
4. You know you would be disappointed if you let your love go to waste.
The very thought of giving up on your relationship not only scares you, it disgusts you. You know that you would never be able to forgive yourself for just letting your relationship wither and die without you doing anything about it. You know that you would rather try and fail at making your relationship work than to not even try at all. And it’s that fear of being disappointed in yourselves which serves as proof of just how much this relationship really means to the both of you – and why neither of you are going to sit back and watch it die a slow and painful death.
5. You know that your problems are solvable and workable.
You know that old cliché – it’s only a problem if there isn’t a solution. And if you know that there are ways of working around the problems and troubles that you have in your relationship, then you don’t have to throw away your love. It’s just a matter of working as a team and executing your game plan together. You both need to be working tirelessly at keeping your love alive. You have to be able to cling to the belief that your love and your emotional bond will be enough to guide you through even the darkest moments of your relationship.
6. You still care about each other’s well-being.
You still genuinely care about one another. You still look out for each other. Sure, you might have a few problems in your relationship. Of course, it’s only natural that all couples go through their fair share of struggles. You might even hate one another to a certain extent.
But at the end of the day, you still care about each other. You know that you would always do whatever you can to make sure that your partner knows that you have their back. And it’s that kind of emotional investment and bond that keeps relationships going strong even through tough and difficult times.
7. You both still love each other.
As has always been said in the past, love alone is never going to be enough to sustain a whole relationship. But that doesn’t mean that love isn’t a big factor in determining the success of a romance. In fact, love is the biggest factor of all. It’s true that love doesn’t necessarily solve all problems in a relationship; but love can always inspire two people to work together in solving those problems.
Love has the power to energize two individuals in a troubled relationship to find their way back to a place of safety. Love isn’t the only solution – but if you know that you still love each other, then that’s something that is always worth fighting for.
