7 of the MOST annoying things new couples do

Can’t blame them.

It’s amazing to see the miracle of love. People starting off a new relationship can be really cute, with their silly, loving gestures. But, cute can very easily turn into irritating. But of course, it’s only irritating for the on lookers, not in the least for the couple. What you may be initially smiling at out of adoration, you might be keeping yourself from cringing at it after a while.

You want to point out to them how painful it is to watch their irritating rituals, but you don’t have the heart to do it. Maybe give them a hint here and there (without making it about them of course).

So here are the 7 most annoying such things;

  1. You don’t make time for anyone else

Your whole world fixates around your partner. You’re oblivious to everyone and everything else around you. It’s understandable to want to spend all of your time with them, but it’s not a smart thing to do. Your family and friends came way before this relationship did. If you don’t want to spend a lot of time with them, at least make some time. Don’t take these people for granted. Even though, regardless of how ignorant you are of them, during a relationship, they’d always be there for you when things go south. They’re the ones that are going to stay. Treat them right, don’t let this newly found relationship make you forget about other people.

  1. You no longer have your own opinions, only shared ones

You’re still the same independent person you were before getting into a relationship. Why hide yourself behind their opinions and choices. It’s okay to have different points of view and tastes. You two can’t possibly share everything, so it’s absolutely alright to use ˜I’ instead of ˜We’, every now and then. (The constant use of the latter is nauseating, to say the least!)

  1. You’re all for PDAs

Majority of the people are not comfortable with PDAs. So even if you two are fine with it, doesn’t mean the people witnessing your affectionate (inappropriate) kissing and touching would be amused as well. They might not like it all that much. Keep the affection to yourselves, no need to share it with the world. Some things are meant to stay between two people any way. It’s only special as long as you keep it that way, exclusively to each other only.

  1. All you can talk about is your relationship

Sure your partner is the most amazing person in the world. They’re intriguing in every simple way. BUT, only for you. Your friends might not share your views. So instead of going on and on about your partner and boring your friends to death, keep the relationship talk to a minimum. They’re the people you can talk to about this stuff, but you need to draw a line somewhere. Try focusing on the conversation at hand, rather than your partner for a change.

  1. You think no one can even begin to comprehend what you’ve found

That tingly feeling you get every time you think of them, or talk to them or see them. Or how they make you smile by doing nothing at all. Or how it feels right to be with them. You may think that no one ever could feel this way, or experience what you have, but that might not be the case. There’s nothing wrong in believing so, but don’t be vocal about it. Everyone feels that their relationship is the relationship, at the start. Don’t disregard what other people have to say about your relationship, they can look at things differently than you do; they’re unbiased.

  1. You’re always found together, ALL THE TIME

It’s great that you’re in a relationship, but you shouldn’t give up your lives apart from the relationship. Everyone needs their space. If you’re always together, it may not only become suffocating for the both of you, but extremely frustrating for the people around you. Your friends/family may want to spend some time with you and talk about things they can’t talk about in front of your partner, and you should provide them with such an opportunity. Your partner may not be welcome everywhere and all the time. In fact they might not be up for it themselves, but do it for your sake all the same.

  1. The incessant habit of taking couple selfies

One of those cute-at-first, annoying-as-hell-later things. You want to capture every single moment with them, go ahead. But refrain from putting up those photos everywhere. Not everyone is going to share your enthusiasm. They’re secretly wishing for you to stop! And the better thing to do is to live those moments rather than wasting most of your time in taking photos with him/her.
