A person who shows a rapid and unhealthy change in a diet might be someone who is going through depression. A mental health issue like that can really mess up a person’s appetite for the worst.
4. They have trouble sleeping at night.
A person who is depressed is also likely to struggle from insomnia. The negativity and weight of their emotions are always somehow going to weigh on them during the night when they are feeling their most vulnerable.
5. They deal with substance abuse of some sort.
It’s no coincidence that a lot of people who suffer from depression are also going through some kind of substance abuse and vice versa. These two are mental health deficiencies that share a lot of the same triggers and symptoms.
6. They fake their feelings and emotions when conversing with others.
They always try to fake a smile. They make it seem that their life isn’t worse off than it actually is. And a lot of times, these people are really good at faking their feelings too.
7. They dive right into their work.
Some people are going to choose to mask their depression in the form of their work. They will dive right into their professional life to keep themselves distracted from all the negative feelings.
At the end of the day, depression is always going to be a monster. It’s a monster that wreaks havoc in the lives of those who are affected by it.
And that’s why it’s always important that these people who suffer from depression find the courage to actually seek help for their condition. They need to know that they aren’t alone in this fight.
