When you choose to call it quits on a relationship, it’s highly likely that things just become simple so instantaneously. Sometimes, breakups can be just as complex as being in an actual relationship. It can get especially complicated whenever breakups can be ambiguous when there is no absolute closure between the two people who were once in a relationship. For a lot of lucky couples, they have real closure when they break up. They know that their relationship is over for good and they can move on with the rest of their lives without thinking about the what ifs of their romance. But then there are those couples who don’t get closure when they break up. The relationship’s end wasn’t really all that smooth and so there’s a slim chance that the both of you can rekindle that flame. But still, you can’t ignore that things ended on a sour note despite the fact that you think you can still try to make things work again. But how do you know if your partner is feeling the same way? How do you know if they’re just as into you now that you’ve already broken up? This is very messy territory and you don’t want to open yourself up to getting disappointed or hurt over something that you have supposedly moved on from. So that is absolutely why it’s essential for you and ex to be on the same page before you make any moves. You don’t want to be doing anything rash without getting the full picture first. Relationships are going to be a series of ups and downs. So it’s perfectly normal for a lot of couple who have broken up to still find success in love together. Just because a couple chose to end things in the past doesn’t mean that they are doomed to never find love with one another in the future. There are plenty of things that factor into the success of a relationship things like timing, maturity, financial stability, personal fulfilment, etc. A few minor adjustments to some or of these things can happen in between breakups and can fix any original problems the relationship may have been experiencing in the first place. Another thing to consider is that the space and the distance that is created by a breakup can lead to two people appreciating one another more by actually missing each other’s presence. Whatever the circumstance, no outcome is definitive and it’s always worth a try especially when both participants are still willing. So how do you know if your ex is still open to the idea of getting back together with you? Well, there are some signs that you can choose to take note of.
1. They still constantly communicate with you after the breakup.
When an ex is truly done with you, it is highly unlikely that they would still want to maintain consistent communications with you after a breakup. Maybe it’s okay to catch up every once in a while to maintain a friendship. But consistent communication is a sign that there’s still no closure there.
2. They still open up to you as if they still have a connection with you.
Why would they still be discussing their innermost feelings if they’ve truly broken off their bond with you? The fact that they still open up to you is proof that the bond and the connection is still there.
3. They inquire about the status of your love life.
There’s no reason for them to be keeping tabs on the status of your love life unless they feel invested in it. They want to know if they still have a shot of getting back with you. They want to know if there’s still an open door for them to walk through.
4. They show signs of jealousy at the prospect of you getting intimate with others.
Again, they wouldn’t be jealous at the thought of you getting intimate with another person unless they’re completely secure about their own feelings. If they’ve truly moved on, they wouldn’t be able to care less about you dating other people.
5. They voluntarily let you know that they’re still single.
They’re essentially letting you know that they’re still available and they’re still open to rekindling the flame with you if you’re willing.
They want you to feel all of the things that you felt back when you were happy together. Nostalgia is a powerful tool and they’re trying to use it to get you interested in them once more.
7. They go out of their way to spend time with you or talk to you.
It’s normal for you to bump into one another by chance and engage in conversations. But it’s suspicious if they really go out of their way to put themselves in a position to actually talk to you.
8. They want to talk to you about where you went wrong together.
This is the start of the conversation that they want to have. They know that you had your problems and they want to talk about it so that the both of you have a chance to get back on
track with your relationship.
