9 Reasons Why A Quality Guy Is Hard To Find

Real men aren’t hard to find.

This is the sad truth of the modern dating world: a quality guy is just so damn difficult to find these days. It’s so discouraging to know the amount of patience and effort a woman has to have just to be able to find herself a man she can actually be proud of. A girl could lower her standards and her expectations to great degrees and she could still come up feeling cheated and disappointed. She is left to ponder if she’s to blame. She thinks if she’s the actual problem or if there is a real shortage of nice men in the dating pool these days. Why is it so hard to find a quality man nowadays? Well, it’s no secret that modern dating has evolved in ways that have made relationships infinitely more complex and complicated.

The idea of the quality gentleman has indeed changed and standards have evolved as well. There are a lot of things that you need to know to make you better understand why it’s so much harder to find a good man now than it was for people in the past. Once you gain a better understanding of why the good men seem to be hiding from you, then maybe you can have a more holistic approach to finding a man you can really fall in love with. Here are 9 reasons why a quality guy is so hard to find:

1. This new age of dating has ushered in the casual hookup culture.

More men just lean towards casual dating nowadays because of the culture that encourages non-committal relationships. The idea of just casually engaging in romantic flings with people is gaining rampant popularity especially among the young ones. It’s not that the good men aren’t there, it’s just that they’re not looking for anything serious.

2. Men just have more options for dating nowadays.

It’s like when you get stuck at a buffet and you have so many choices, you can’t possibly just stick to one kind of food. You’re going to want some pasta, some pizza, maybe some steak, and then finish it up with some dessert afterwards. Men these days just have so many choices and they find it difficult to stick to one.

3. Men don’t really want to commit because they hold out for better things.

Men know that there’s always going to be something that’s potentially better out there. So they find it hard to stay committed to a single woman because at the back of their minds, they are depriving themselves of being with someone there who could potentially be a better match for them.

4. More and more people aren’t really pressured into getting married anymore.

Perhaps your ideas of a long-term relationship just don’t mesh well with how the men that you meet see long-term romances. There’s no denying that there is a growing trend of couples who stay together for long periods of time without necessarily tying the knot anymore.

5. Plenty of men are afraid of strong, powerful, and aggressive women.

You are a strong, aggressive, and independent woman who goes after what she wants in life. But unfortunately for you, there are just so many men out there who haven’t matured or evolved enough to actually respect that about you. They see aggressive women as threats to their manhood and so they wouldn’t want to be associated with you.

6. The prevalence of technological devices have somehow bastardized social interactions.

The argument can be made that technological advancements have really propelled the capacities for social interaction. People are now capable of socializing with other human beings located on the other side of the globe. However, technology has also somewhat consumed us vastly in a way that makes us less human and more mechanical.

7. A lot of men are afraid of growing up and taking on real responsibilities.

As sad as it may seem, perhaps you have just been meeting men who are downright immature. These are men who aren’t emotionally and mentally prepared for actually being in a long-term relationship. They might have good intentions, but they lack the maturity that one needs to sustain a relationship.

8. More and more people have emotional baggage to deal with nowadays.

Emotional baggage is tricky. Each relationship is going to have a healthy dose of emotional baggage that comes with it. But if a relationship comes to an unfortunate end, it’s important to let go of all that baggage before taking on another relationship. Unfortunately, a lot of guys still carry old emotional baggage into their new relationships and they end up suffering for it.

9. It’s perfectly acceptable for people to be afraid of commitment nowadays.

Commitment isn’t necessarily as emotionally and morally enforced on people anymore these days. With today’s culture, it’s perfectly normal for young ones to go around and be noncommittal in their approach to love and relationships.
