You can’t love someone else until you truly love yourself.

There is a stigma that is attached to single people. It’s like they are categorized as unsociable people who can’t get anybody to like them on a romantic level. They are immature and cold, they have no room in their hearts for love. This isn’t always a case. Human beings aren’t as simple as that. There are plenty of complex aspects to a person’s psychological makeup. Unfortunately, society still labels these kinds of people as outcasts because they are single. As a result, a lot of us will feel pressured to be in relationships we aren’t ready for just because it’s what society expects of us.

Stay strong. Just because society keeps telling you to be in a relationship already doesn’t mean you have to settle. You have to be patient and stay single if you really aren’t ready. If you are still exhibiting some of the signs that are listed on here, then you really shouldn’t be forcing your way into a relationship just yet.

1. You think you are entitled to all the things that you want.

If you think you are entitled to all the things that you want in life, then that means you’re still an immature little brat. That’s real talk. You have to grow up and learn that life isn’t going to hand you everything you want on a silver platter. You have to work for the things that you truly desire, and you have to commit yourself to your goals. If you don’t realize that yet, then you’re not mature enough to be in a relationship.

2. You aren’t happy.

Learn to be happy on your own before you start entertaining the thoughts of being in a relationship with someone. You can’t afford to have a relationship serve as your only source of happiness.

3. You still aren’t over your ex.

Leave your exes where they belong: in the past. Nothing good could ever arise from getting into a relationship even though you’re still totally hung over your ex. You are only asking for pain to be brought upon yourself and whoever you are in a relationship with. No one deserves that kind of emotional torment and you would do better for yourself to stay single for now.– Continue reading on the next page

4. You need more time to find yourself.

You can’t expect to find success in a relationship if you still have lots to learn about yourself. In order for you to really know what you want out of a relationship, you have to know more about who you really are as a person. 5. You only want a relationship because you’re jealous.

Jealousy is never a good source of motivation for anything. If the only reason you want to get into a relationship is because you are jealous of all your friends who are in relationships, then you are terribly misguided. Love should be a natural organic social experience that cannot be forced or driven by jealous desires. Getting in a relationship for the sake of fitting in is never a good way to go about romance.

6. You’re not in the mood to date people.

Don’t force it. If you want to be in a proper relationship with a person, you have to open yourself up to the idea of dating. You have to devote yourself to the time and effort it takes to get to know a person. If dating isn’t really a priority for you at the moment, then neither are relationships.– Continue reading on the next page
