9 Things You Should Never Have To Put Up With From Your Man

Honey, you might just be better off alone at this point. Just because you’re in love with someone doesn’t mean that you should have to put up with terrible treatment from them. As much as it might hurt, you need to be able to muster the courage to walk away from a relationship when you know that it’s bad for you. There are just certain things in life that you shouldn’t have to tolerate – even from the ones you love the most.

When you’re in a relationship with someone, things aren’t always going to be perfect. And that’s why they say that you’re going to have to really fight for the one that you love; you’re going to have to fight to make your relationship last. And that’s all great. But what a lot of people fail to mention is that you also have to fight for a love that is actually worth fighting for. And if your man is guilty of treating you in the ways that are going to be listed in this article, then he really isn’t a guy who is worth being with at all.

1. He cheats and acts unfaithfully to you.

You should never have to put up with any form of infidelity in your relationship. You deserve to be with a guy who is always going to stay loyal and true to you; someone who would never cheat on you. You will never be able to make things work with a guy who can’t commit to being in a faithful relationship with you.

2. He is insecure whenever you start to gain more success.

Just because you are finding more success in life doesn’t mean that he has an excuse to resent you and act jealous. When you are a in a real loving relationship, you should have a guy who is proud of your success; someone who always pushes you to excel even if it means him having to step away from the spotlight.

3. He fails to give you his time and attention.

In this life, we only ever really give time and attention to the things that are most important to us. And the things we tend to find success in are also the things we tend to devote most of our time to. So, there is definitely a very big cause for concern whenever you feel like he isn’t giving this relationship much of his time.

4. He doesn’t give validation to your goals and dreams.

He shouldn’t get to tell you what kind of goals and dreams you have in a relationship. Yes, there are those of us who are willing to make a few compromises here and there for the sake of love. But if you feel so strongly about your dreams, then you shouldn’t be forced to give them up just for the sake of your relationship. Someone who truly loves you would support you in whatever endeavor.

5. He makes you feel like your body isn’t good enough.

Love is more than just physical appearances. And if he’s constantly berating you about how you look, then you know he doesn’t truly love you and he’s not someone who is worth being with. Yes, physical attraction plays a part in love. But it’s not the whole story. At the end of the day, he should still love you no matter how you might look.

6. He controls how you should look and live your life.

He always likes to dictate how you should be dressing and the choices that you make in your life. It’s as if he’s your boss with the way that he directs your schedule for you. It’s as if you’re left with no choices anymore in the life that you’re living in. You’re merely playing a spectator in your own life’s story.

7. He invalidates your feelings and emotions.

Whenever you try to express something to him, he just naturally brushes it off as if your thoughts and opinions don’t matter. He invalidates your feelings by making it seem that you’re just being childish and immature. A man should always be willing to hear you out. He should always be willing to serve as some kind of receptacle for anything you want to get off your chest.

8. He chooses who you get to hang out with.

He gets to direct your social life – and that’s wrong. He’s so insecure to the point that he wants final say on the kind of people you get to hang out with. He gets to tell you who your friends are supposed to be because he doesn’t want to feel threatened by anyone.

9. He abuses you in any manner.

Any kind of abuse – whether physical, mental, or emotional – should never be tolerated in any kind of relationship. And if you feel like you are being made into a victim of abuse in your own relationship, then you really need to get out quickly.
