Angelina Jolie is a Proud Mom of a Spelman Student!
It has been reported by E! News that ‘Angelina Jolie has hit another milestone with daughter Zahara before the official start of her freshman year of college: move-in-day.’
“The “Maleficent” star wore an all-black outfit for move-in day by the school’s Vice President of Student Affairs, Darryl Holloman.”
“The teenager, for her part, paired a green top with jeans. She sported a black face mask while posing for a pic in her new bedroom.” Page Six Reported.
When Angelina was asked about her feelings about her daughter’s milestone moment, she said, “I’m going to start crying if I talk about today. I haven’t started crying yet so … hopefully, I can hold it together.”
Two weeks ago, the Maleficent actress announced that her teenage daughter will attend Spelman College.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters!” Jolie wrote on her latest Instagram post.
“Congratulations to all new attendees starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl.” She added.
After her announcement, a video circulated on social media where the Salt actress was seen enjoying herself at Spelman’s “SpelHouse” back-to-school event. At the end of the video, Jolie hugged Zahara, and the mother-daughter duo was pictured laughing and having the time of their lives.
Other than 17-year-old Zahara, Angelina shares five other children with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
Earlier this month, Brad spoke with PEOPLE at the premiere of Bullet Train in Los Angeles and expressed his excitement about his daughter’s new academic venture.
“Yeah, that’s beautiful. I am so happy and emotional that she is going to attend Spelman. It’s really beautiful.” He said.
Speaking to Vanity Fair on August 2, the Fight Club actor said he is proud of Zahara for being so bright.
“She’s going to flourish even more at college. It’s an exciting and beautiful time to find her own way and pursue her interests. I’m so proud. Where does the time go, right? They grow up too fast. It brings a tear to the eye.”
Brad and Jolie have been legally separated since 2019, and despite their initial agreement to co-parent the children, the two have been involved in a legal fight for the custody of their kids.
According to US Weekly, “Pitt often pushes to see his children as often as possible wherever they all are in the world.”
“Brad cherishes every moment he gets with the kids. He loves being a parent and has tried to make the best of a tricky situation given how hostile it’s been with Angelina.”
Despite their differences and disputes with each other, as parents, both Angelina and Brad made sure that their children didn’t feel pressured by them. In several interviews, the actors frequently stated that they want their children to be open and expressive. Whether it is fashion or career – they should make their own choice.
