Arnold Schwarzenegger Said He Will Not Support His Son Financially Once He Graduated College

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is a famous Austrian-American actor, film producer, business personality, former bodybuilder, and politician who also served as the 38th governor of California for seven years.

Recently his son graduated college, and once he was done, he was told by his star politician father that he would no longer support him.

Joseph Baena is the 24-year-old son of Schwarzenegger that he shares with his former housekeeper Mildred Baena. He was born right after Arnold’s ex-wife Maria Shriver gave birth to his fourth child.

It was in 2011 when Joseph found out that the Terminator actor was his father.

According to VT, Baena’s grandmother told him about his father, and that revelation transformed his entire life.

The college graduate aspires to be like his father and wants to pursue an acting career in the future. But for now, he is working in a real estate company, ARIA Properties, in Los Angeles.

Speaking to the Unwaxed Podcast, Baena said, “It was right when the college was done, my father said to me, ‘You go. You’re on your own.’ I was like, ‘Oh, s**t.'”

“So, I needed a job, and I was not getting any of the acting roles that I thought I was going to get.

“I was like, I need to do something, so I started interning at this real estate company.”

The Mirror reported that before securing a job in the company, Baena worked there as an intern and developed the skills required for the job.

After realizing that he actually enjoyed working in real estate and getting his license, Joseph started selling and renting real estate to potential leaseholders and buyers.

The young real estate worker also celebrated the moment when he sold his first property, a home. He posted a photo of himself while standing outside the house on his Instagram account and wrote,

“SOLD!!! Congratulations to my clients for trusting myself and @aria_properties to sell their beautiful Santa Monica Property!”

“I just love having a goal and then going for it. With acting, I know my goal is to be a reputable actor and ultimately win some awards.” Said Joseph.

Baena was also featured in Men’s Health magazine’s March 2022 issue, where he explained how everyone reacted in high school when they found out that he was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son.

“I remember the day very vividly, I was in the eighth grade. Fifth or sixth period. And I get called out of class to leave. And my mom’s there, and she’s like, ‘We gotta go – everyone is finding out about you and who your father is.'”

He said that when the news spread, his house was surrounded by photographers and news outlets, “I was 13,” he said. “Your body’s transforming; your mind is transforming. And now my life transformed before my eyes.”

In another interview with Inside Edition, Joseph explained the reason for which he didn’t take his father’s surname.

“Well I already have a last name, and I don’t have a problem with my last name, I like my last name.”
