Fans Become Emotional as they Saw Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd Reunited at NYC Comic Con after 37 Years of ‘Back to the Future’

The legendary duo got together in New York for the Comic Con Festival to speak on the panel discussion about their iconic film Back To The Future’s trilogy.

The science fiction movie was released in 1985 and starred Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson. The story revolved around a teenager who accidentally traveled back in time to 1955 through a time-traveling automobile.

Thirty-seven years later, two of the main characters from the movie reunited and talked about their past adventures related to the blockbuster film, which made everyone emotional.

“The pair, who respectively starred as time-traveling high school student Marty McFly and eccentric “Doc” Emmett Brown in the 1985 blockbuster and its two sequels, appeared together at New York Comic Con on Saturday to speak on a panel about the modern classic’s legacy.”CNN.

According to Daily Mail, “Michael’s health has been the topic of many fans’ concern since his diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease back in 1991.”

“It was evident that the degenerative disease was taking its physical toll on Michael’s body as he was seen staggering as he walked on stage at Comic Con on Saturday.”

While talking to the huge crowd of fans, 61-year-old Fox recalled his first-ever encounter with the award-winning actor, Christopher.

“The best part of this movie was working with Chris, he is just a genius, and we had immediate chemistry. It was simply great working with him,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Emmy Award winner called Fox the ‘King of Exposition.’

“But despite the rigidity and slowness in movement as he continues to experience the advances stages of the illness, he seemed in good spirits as he gave a cheery wave to the thousands of fans who gave him and Christopher Lloyd a standing ovation.”

“The pair also shared a heartfelt embrace – and Lloyd held his friend and former co-star as he hunched into his arms,” per Daily Mail.

After the reunion at NYC Comic Con, many people took to Twitter and expressed their emotions about their all-time favorite duo from Back To The Future.

“His legacy will outlive most. A great team,” One fan wrote on Twitter.

“When you feel all down on yourself, think of Michael. If he can go on, so can you. Count your blessing. Life ain’t so bad.” Said another.

“Lump in throat time. Tragic to see the decline, brave man though,” a fan commented, referring to Michael’s deteriorating health.

“If you were a teenager in 1985, then Michael J. Fox was your guy,” someone penned.

Last year, in an interview with AARP, Michael Fox opened up about his disease and said he was grateful for all he’s done in life.

“People often think of Parkinson’s as a visual thing, but the visuals of it are nothing,” he said.

“It’s what you can’t see – the lack of an inner gyroscope, of a sense of balance, of peripheral perception. I mean, I’m sailing a ship on stormy seas on the brightest of days.”

“I’m really blunt with people about cures.” He continued. “When they ask me if I will be relieved of Parkinson’s in my lifetime, I say, ‘I’m 60 years old, and science is hard. So, no.”

“Some days are a struggle. Some days are more difficult than others.

“But the disease is this thing that’s attached to my life – it isn’t the driver.”
