Jennifer Lopez recently uploaded a large slew of photographs and videos from her surprise wedding to Ben Affleck, including shots of herself in her gown and BA in his tux. Both of them look stunning. The pop star’s website/newsletter, OnTheJLo, has a ton of content where she and her staff have disclosed all the details regarding their wedding.
“We completed the task. Love is lovely. Love is kind. Love, it turns out, is patient. Twenty years of endurance.” says Jen.
She continues, saying, “That’s exactly what we wanted. We went to Vegas last night and stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same trip to the world’s wedding capital. Two males clasped hands and held each other behind us. In front of us, a young couple who drove three hours from Victorville on the occasion of their daughter’s second birthday—all of us wanted the same thing: for the world to recognize us as partners and to announce our love to the world via the old and practically universal symbol of marriage.”
Jen recounts that they just made it to the wedding chapel before it closed, and while they had hoped for Elvis to preside, he was unavailable. They continued, snapping photos in front of their witnesses, who appeared to be some of their respective children.
J Lo describes it as their “dream wedding,” one they had long desired, and concludes by adding, “All you need is love,” they declared, and they were correct.
“We are very glad to have that in abundance, a new lovely family of five amazing children, and a life to look forward to.”
“If you stick around long enough, you may discover the finest moment of your life in a drive-through in Las Vegas at 1:00 a.m. in the Tunnel of Love drive-through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend the rest of your life with. Love is a wonderful thing, perhaps the nicest thing, and it is well worth the wait,” she adds.
According to court documents acquired by TMZ, the pair received a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, which was obtained and processed on Saturday, July 16. It’s in both of their names and not just their legal names. Jennifer Lynn Lopez and Benjamin Geza Affleck. Soon later, Jennifer broke the news to her admirers in a video message in her newsletter. She is teary-eyed and says, “You’re wonderful,” before revealing her stunning green diamond ring.
Ben and Jen got engaged in late 2002, but they called it quits in 2004 before marriage. They each went on to have different relationships, including marriages and children, but the exes reunited about a year ago and appeared inseparable. As we’ve documented, the indication of them getting married has been there all along.
They’ve been home searching together, frequently taking their children along, and indicated they were looking for a blended family setup. Despite the fact that several of their real estate projects fell through, the pair appears to have settled into a Beverly Hills house. Jen’s SUV was sighted last month at a huge Beverly Hills house. There were also four moving trucks outside the estate, as well as trucks at Ben and Jen’s present houses in the Los Angeles region.
