Britney Spears’ First Husband, Jason Alexander, says He crashed her Wedding to Save her, “It was for her own good”

In June 2022, the Gimme More singer tied the knot (for the third time) with her Iranian-American model boyfriend, Sam Asghari.

But just like her life, the wedding ceremony was also chaotic as her ex-husband, Jason Alexander, crashed the wedding.

“The singer, 40, was preparing to marry her long-term partner Sam Asghari, 28, in a lavish ceremony at her Thousand Oaks home, but just hours before the event was due to start, Alexander broke onto the premises to crash the wedding,” Daily Mail reported in June.

The 40-year-old confronted security and initiated a fight with two officers on duty, for which he was arrested and later charged with misdemeanor trespassing.

“He was detained, handcuffed and I’m pleased to report, arrested. Fortunately, Britney is safe. I’m livid by this security breach and am working closely with law enforcement to ensure he is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” the musician’s attorney Mathew S. Rosengart told CNN.

In 2004, Spears married Alexander in Las Vegas. The two remained best friends throughout their childhood. However, their marriage only lasted for 55 good hours and was annulled.

Recently, Jason spoke to Daily Mail and opened up about his intentions behind the June incident.

The 40-year-old said that he couldn’t believe Britney was marrying Sam Asghari and had to intervene for her own good.

“I couldn’t let her get married with the conversations we’ve had over the last two years. I wasn’t there to cause harm. I was just there to Speak to Britney and make sure she was okay, and this is what she wanted,” he said.

According to Jason, he talked to Britney just a few days before the wedding, and she didn’t mention anything about Sam or any wedding.

“I spoke to her the Monday leading up to the wedding and she didn’t mention anything about getting married. We talked about the people she hangs out with whom she calls her friends. Business associates that profit off of her.”

“Most people aren’t aware of what’s been happening in the background,” he told the outlet.

He further said that the Pretty Girls singer has been through so much in her life with her forced conservatorship, two failed marriages, and unstable relationship with her sons. So, he just wanted to ensure that she was not being forced into the marriage with Asghari.

“I feared she was being forced into it, especially after spending the last 13 years under a conservatorship. It’s all for show. A Hollywood script,” he said, referring to Britney’s marriage. “I don’t think she looks happy. That whole thing is not real.”

Speaking to the news outlet, Alexander admitted that his way of showing up at the wedding was a little upsetting, but he insisted on the fact that people don’t understand the situation because they are not aware of their history.

“It could look a little scary if you don’t know the history. I want to see her happy. I want her making her own decisions on who she can be friends with and whom she can see,’ he explained. “I was her making her own decisions, feeling like she has the freedom to choose what she does with her time.”

When asked about his opinion on the pop singer’s family and what they did to her, he replied, “We all make mistakes, and family is family. Forgiveness is something we have to learn to do in our heart.”
