Another day, another Britney news!
Following the backlash for her body-shaming post on Instagram, fans are not comforting the 40-year-old Toxic Pony Singer.
It was reported that Spears triggered a lot of people on social media by sharing an insensitive post on her Instagram account.
“I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people,” the post read.
Not just that, but she also wrote along a caption mentioning fellow American singer and television personality Christina Aguilera’s dancers.
“I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children … my dancers … I mean, if I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers, I would have looked extremely small. I mean, why not talk about it??” She captioned.
“Don’t you think my confidence would have been a bit better if I could choose where I lived, ate, whom I called on the phone, dated and who was on stage with me!!!”
“It’s hard sometimes now I see how much of my womanhood was stripped away at that time and every person sat back and didn’t say a thing!!! Anyways … I will be here talking about things people NEVER talked about!!!”
Her now-deleted post caused a stir on social media, and fans asked Britney to remove it.
“Please delete this,” one of the top comments read.
“You can speak YOUR truth without making an effort to offend someone,” a fan wrote.
“I’m so disappointed,” another commented.
“Oof. Love Britt- but this was in bad taste. Body shaming to make yourself feel better is not where it’s at,” said another disappointed fan of the singer.
Page Six reported that Christina Aguilera unfollowed her on the platform in response to the Break the Ice singer‘s offensive post.
Later, the Gimme More pop star posted a video of her dance routine on the social media platform, during which she burst into tears.
“It’s been a while since I’ve cried on camera!!! It’s not a breakdown, assholes; it’s a release that I’ve needed for a very long time now!!! Spiritual experience for sure!!! I think I need to do that way more!!! Psss… bawling,” she wrote.
Lately, the Princess of Pop has been making headlines every other day. Last week she uploaded a couple of videos on her Insta story and shared that she had no purpose in life anymore.
“Literally, I have no purpose anymore. They were my joy. They were my everything. I look forward to seeing them. That was what I live for. And then all of a sudden, they were gone,” the singer posted on Saturday.
“I mean, people don’t remember that part because they always focused on the negative, but from when they were 6 to 9 years old, I had them 70 percent of the time,” she said.
The videos came after her son Jayden’s interview with ITV, where the almost-sixteen-year-old aspiring musician said that his grandfather saved his mother’s life through the conservatorship.
Jayden Federline further said that he hadn’t seen Britney in a long time and that her ‘inappropriate’ behavior on social media and not-so-normal state of mind.
In response, Britney lashed out at her teenage son and wrote,
“So, Jayden, as you undermine my behavior just like my whole family always has with, ‘I hope she gets better, I will pray for her,’” she added, “Pray for what? I keep working so I can pay off mom’s legal fees and her house. Do you guys want me to continue to get better so I can continue giving your dad 40 grand a month?”
The singer also said that once her son turns eighteen, he won’t get any money from her.
The singer’s latest emotional video received many positive comments from her supportive fans, who expressed concerns about her health.
“Awww, babe, so many of us here support you in whatever you need to do for your journey! We can’t even fathom what it must feel like to be trapped for over 13 years. You have come leaps and bounds! We adore you.” One fan wrote.
“If we don’t release our tears, they build up and are stored as pain. I am in awe of how you process your emotions so gracefully,” said another.
“Try watching this video without audio; the range of emotions in 1 minute is seriously scaring me,” someone else commented.
