She won’t return to Hollywood after wrapping up this one last project!
Cameron Diaz is a famous Hollywood actress known for roles in movies like Vanilla Sky, The Mask, Charlie’s Angels, The Holiday, Knight and Day, There’s Something, Annie, and Bad Teacher.
Throughout her career, Diaz won several accolades for her amazing acting skills, including four Golden Globe nominations, three Screen Actor Guild Awards, a British Academy Film Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She is the fifth highest-grossing actress at the domestic box office in Hollywood.
Last month, after almost nine years of staying away from the entertainment industry, Diaz was seen appearing alongside her Annie costar, Jamie Foxx, in London.
The duo will appear together in a new Netflix original film – Back in Action.
“Both Diaz and Foxx, 55, were dressed to the nines for filming over the weekend, with the Ray actor in a classic black tuxedo and the Charlie’s Angels actress in a coordinating blazer over a lace-trimmed camisole top and matching pants. She let her signature blonde locks hang loose over her shoulder in soft waves, with a middle part,” People reported.
According to an insider, Cameron only agreed after Foxx persuaded her to star alongside him in one last film.
“When this project came along and she was pursued by Jamie Foxx, who she has known and worked with for years, she decided to go for it.”
But it has been reported that Diaz is not enjoying her comeback project as much as she thought because there is ‘too much drama involved.’
Daily Mail reported that the “project was thrown into turmoil earlier this month when it was reported that Jamie ‘had an absolute meltdown’ on the UK set of the movie, which led to the firing of three people.”
A source close to the Vanilla Sky actress revealed that although she has no issues with her pal, Jamie, she has a hard time being away from her family.
“She’s had such a hard time being away from her family and hates the ‘drama and confrontation’ that so often erupts on movie sets,” a friend of hers revealed to Daily Mail.
“These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on her and she hates being away from Raddix.”
The Mask alum got married to rockstar Benji Madden in 2015, and the couple shares a beautiful and peaceful life together. They welcomed their daughter, Raddix Madden, in 2019 via surrogate.
The source also revealed that Benji is missing his wife, and despite being supportive of her decision to sign the project, he is not doing very well without her.
“Benji is supportive of everything that Cameron does, but it has been a lot on him. Although she has gotten to see her family while shooting the film, it is just not the same.”
Speaking of Jamie’s meltdown earlier this month, the pal said,
“When you are in a position of authority, sometimes you have to make decisions to let people go who do not share the same vision as you. Cameron is a businessperson and understands that this is necessary at times and, honestly, Jamie is the only reason that she is doing this film and they are still very close.”
