Dad Sparked Debate After being spotted Carrying his Dog instead of his Son

A dad has sparked a massive debate on the internet after viral footage showed him carrying his dig instead of his little boy.

TikTok user Luz Elena shared the video of a father walking on the road carrying a big dog in one arm while his son walked next to him holding his other arm. The clip also showed a woman walking behind the man with a stroller with a large box in the seat instead of the child.

The caption of the video read, “When your priority is your dog, not the child.”

The video amassed over 4.5 million views on TikTok, with thousands of people commenting on it – the comment section was filled with mixed responses. While some viewers bashed the father for prioritizing his dig over his young son, others claimed that he must have had a good reason to do so and that people shouldn’t judge the family based on one clip.

“That’s how it should be!” one wrote.

“Good dad. Giving his son good clean exercise, even holding his hand, while also keeping his dog safe,” a second said.

“No one mentioned the mom in the back with the push trike. The kid is walking because mom put something in the trike. Maybe dog is sick?” a third added.

“Good call from dad. The kid has shoes on, dogs paws can’t get burned now,” a fourth commented.

“Maybe the ground is hot and he doesn’t want his pups feet getting burned, and this is actually super sweet. The pavement is probably way too hot for the dogs paws so he is carrying him,” said another.

“What a great father and pet owner, living by example,” another wrote.

“Okay I didn’t find anything problematic in this video. In fact, it is good to see that the dad carried his pet in his arm instead of his son, the son is wearing shoes and the dog might be injured or there must be any other good reason for doing that, either way this is not wrong and people should mind their own business,” said someone else.
