Dean Norris and his wife, Bridget Norris, are divorcing, according to court documents obtained by Page Six. Bridget filed on Feb. 14, 2025. Valentine’s Day.

Dean Norris and Bridget Norris Are Getting Divorced

Page Six reported on Nov. 4, 2026, that Dean responded to the filing in May 2025, and that the divorce does not appear to be finalized. Neither Dean nor Bridget has spoken publicly about it. Page Six reached out to his rep and did not immediately hear back.

Bridget cited “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reported, per Page Six. She listed their separation date as Jan. 15, 2025. That is one month before she filed.

Dean Norris, 63, is best known as Hank Schrader on AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” which ran from 2008 to 2013. He married Bridget, a former entertainment lawyer, in October 2021. By the separation date on her filing, the marriage had lasted a little over three years.

The Couple Faces Financial Challenges with Bankruptcy Filing

Swing Inn Cafe is the other half of this story. Dean and Bridget filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the Temecula, California, restaurant on Sept. 25, according to documents Page Six obtained. Chapter 11 lets a business restructure its debts and keep operating.

Divorce papers and bankruptcy papers were filed by the same two people.

You’d expect a split to end with two people dividing what they own and walking away. Dean and Bridget are still tied together by a business that owes far more than it holds, and that means more meetings, more signatures and more decisions made side by side. Separating a marriage is hard enough. Separating it while jointly trying to save a struggling company keeps two people in the same room long after one of them has filed to leave it.

Bridget Norris Seeks Custody and Support Amid Split

Bridget is asking for joint legal and physical custody, plus spousal support, TMZ reported, per Page Six. The couple share five children, two of them still minors.

Joint custody is a notable request. She is not seeking to cut Dean out of the children’s daily lives. She is asking for the arrangement to be shared, on paper and in practice. Any spousal support request also lands on a household already carrying a business in Chapter 11.

Dean Norris’s Restaurant Has Significant Debt

Swing Inn Cafe lists $147,809.58 in assets against $1,811,598.46 in liabilities, per the filing. That is roughly $1.8 million owed against less than $150,000 on hand.

Dean and Bridget bought the old school diner and barbecue spot in 2002. It has been open since 1927. Nearly a century of business now sits inside a bankruptcy case.

Nothing about any of it appears on the restaurant’s social media. On Monday, its Instagram page posted Dean being interviewed by a local news outlet about the eatery and urged followers to preorder Thanksgiving meals. Another video showed him meeting fans at the restaurant over the weekend.

Dean and Bridget have more than one shared venture. In 2018, they opened the Norris Performing Arts Center in Murrieta, California, which offers dance, vocal, acting and musical theater training for students ages 3 to 18. Page Six did not report on its finances.

Dean and Bridget still have an open divorce case and an open bankruptcy filing. Neither has said what happens to the restaurant, the arts center, or the partnership that built them.
