Beanie Feldstein and her wife, Bonnie-Chance Roberts, have welcomed their first daughter. Feldstein shared the news in an interview with People published Nov. 4, as E! Online reported, and she summed up the whole thing in four words: “Motherhood is unbelievably beautiful.”
Booksmart star Beanie Feldstein called her daughter “beyond my wildest dreams.” Then she went further. “I really did dream her,” she told People. “I always wanted to be a mom, and I always wanted a daughter.”
Watching her baby take in the world, she said, is the greatest gift.
The Couple Welcomed Their First Daughter Together
Feldstein married Roberts, a producer, in 2023. The pair announced the pregnancy in May with an Instagram photo of Roberts and Feldstein cradling her bump. The caption read “Limited Edition Scouse Beanie Baby coming soon!!”
Months later, the milestones have started. Feldstein told People she saw her daughter’s first smile weeks before the interview. She also pushed back on something people had told her, that newborns are little blobs who don’t really come alive until six weeks. “I disagree with that completely,” she said. She could feel her daughter’s soul from the moment they met, and seeing it show up in a smile was, in her words, “so magic.”
Plenty of new parents say the first weeks are a blur. Feldstein described them as the opposite. Sharp, specific, a person already there.
Feldstein Reflects on Returning to Work After Maternity Leave
Maternity leave is ending for Beanie Feldstein. She is returning to work, and E! Online noted she reflected on the “mom juggle” that comes with it. The 33-year-old Funny Girl actress talked about it right alongside the early days at home, the first smile and the late realization that the six-week rule was wrong.

Beanie Feldstein Baby News Highlights Family Life
Roberts got her own credit in the interview. “She’s such a good mom, and it’s so special to watch,” Feldstein said. She named being a mom alongside her wife as the greatest gift, in the same breath as the baby herself.
Small detail. Big tell. New parents tend to talk about the child and forget the other adult in the room, who is also exhausted, also learning, also changing in real time. Feldstein went out of her way to say she enjoys watching Roberts become a mother. Noticing your partner in that role, out loud, is the kind of attention that tends to slip first once a baby arrives and the juggle begins.
Beanie Feldstein has talked about Roberts this way before. She told TODAY.com in March 2024 that marriage changed one thing in particular. “People take you more seriously when you say ‘my wife,'” she said. As a very young looking person, she added, saying it carries authority and maturity. “It makes me feel powerful.”
Two moms now, one first smile on record, and a Scouse Beanie Baby who arrived exactly as advertised.
