The Hollywood veteran defies aging and shows no signs of slowing down.
The Mary Poppins icon revealed the key to his youthfulness after wowing viewers with an impressive singing stint on The Masked Singer US.
During a recent interview with Yahoo, Dick spoke about his youthful energy, excellent stamina, and secrets to looking young and fit at the age of 97.

And among the four things that help Van Dyke defy aging, his beloved wife, Arlene Silver, definitely plays a prominent role.
“Genes, I guess, for one thing. Having a beautiful young wife half my age to take care of me – that works!” he said.
“My positive attitude, I get that from my wife.”
He met Arlene in 2007 at the age of 86, while she was only 35 at that time.

“We first met at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. He came to me and said, ‘Hi, I’m Dick.’ The first thing I asked him was, ‘Weren’t you in “Mary Poppins”?’ We got along immediately as friends, so it didn’t feel like he was so much older than me,” Silver told Closer Weekly back then.
By February 2012, the pair was head over heels in love with each other and eventually tied the knot in a private ceremony at a chapel near his home in Malibu.
Last year in February, the couple celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary; their singing and dancing video went viral on social media on Valentine’s Day. The video gathered more than 100,000 views on YouTube.
Fans were impressed with the iconic actor’s performance when he grooved on ‘Everybody Loves A Lover’ with his wife, Arlene.

During his recent interview with Yahoo, the Night at the Museum actor said he keeps himself physically fit and active by going to the gym three times a week.
“And one other thing is, I wrote a book called Keep Moving: I still go to the gym three days a week and work out.”
He added, “And I advise everybody to do that, because that’s what ages people — it’s just a stiffening up and not exercising their muscles and their lungs. Exercise is the answer.”
Talking about his recent performance in the mystery singing competition, The Masked Singer, Dick said,
“Oh, it was so funny. It was the weirdest experience. They have a great crew there, and they took good care of me, but the minute I got out of the car, they covered my head!”
“I never got to meet or see anybody! I’m going to have to go back and meet them in person, because nobody ever saw me and I never saw them. It was weird.”
During the show, the Chitty Chatty star performed Frank Sinatra’s When You’re Smiling. When panelist, Nichole Scherzinger found out that Gnome was actually Dick Van Dyke, she became overwhelmed with emotions and said it was an honor to watch him perform on the show.

After he revealed his identity, host Nick Cannon said, “This is the most seasoned and most decorated we’ve had on our show, ladies and gentlemen.”
