Fans Pray for Johnny Depp After He Suffers Painful Injury and Postpones Hollywood Vampires Tour

Johnny Depp has taken a break from work after sustaining a painful injury to his lower body, especially his ankle.

Taking to his Instagram on Monday, the Pirates of the Caribbean star announced the sad news to his fans and expressed his regret over the situation.

“My dear friends, I am sorry to say that I have fractured my ankle, which is a drag!!! It began as a hairline break but somewhere between Cannes and the Royal Albert Hall, it got worse rather than better. Several medical professionals have strongly suggested I avoid any and all activity for the moment and so am sadly unable to travel at this time,” Depp wrote.

The actor and performer apologized to his fans who had already purchased the concert tickets and said the band would make it up to them later this summer.

“I’m very sorry to miss you in New Hampshire, Boston, and New York but fear not I promise we will bring our absolute best to the East Coast later this summer and make it up to those who have already paid for the shows!!! Again sincerest apologies. All my love and respect… J. D. x” he concluded his post.

The band also shared an official statement on their Instagram page and assured fans all the purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates.

“We are sad to share that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates this coming week,” they wrote.

“Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel. He is devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so all four Vampires can bring their absolute best to the tour in Europe.”

Reacting to the news, fans sent their love and support for the Rum Diary star and said they would wait to see him live in action.

“Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery,” one wrote.

“Hoping for a speedy recovery, still sad tho,” a second said.

“Oh poor Johnny, sending love,” a third added.

“Rest up Johnny. We will be here waiting for you,” a fourth fan commented.

“Hope for a good recovery, health first. We can always party and gig later,” said another.

Last year, after winning the legal battle against ex-wife Amber Heard now, the Beetlejuice actor got back with his band. The legal fight between the former couple ended on June 2, 2022. The trial continued for almost six weeks, and it was one of the most followed Hollywood trials both on TV and social media.

In response to her 2018 op-ed in the Washington Post, Johnny sued Heard for defamation. The Aquaman star wrote that she survived domestic violence. Although she didn’t explicitly mention Johnny Depp’s name in her statement, it was quite evident since the two were married for almost a year and later divorced.

Depp sued her for $50 million and claimed that his reputation had been tarnished because of Amber’s statements. He also said that he had been severely affected by her allegations, and now people call him a ‘wife-beater.’

And it was true as he was not only removed from the Pirates movie franchise but also stopped getting any roles at all.

Amber Heard then countersued him for $100 million while claiming that he tried to defame her for being ‘honest’ about his toxic behavior and violence.

In the final hearing on June 2, 2022, the court ruled in favor of the ‘Edward Scissorhands’ actor, who celebrated his victory with his musician friends Jeff Beck and Sam Fender in Newcastle, England.

Later that month, the 59-year-old Hollywood star announced that he is reuniting with his band Hollywood Vampire and will also make an international tour with them.

The band was formed in 2012 by Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Johnny Depp.

The group took to his official Instagram account and announced their tour dates for Germany and Luxembourg.

“The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!! We’re coming to Germany and Luxembourg Summer 2023!

“Tickets go on sale Monday June 27 at 11:00am CET. Keep an eye out for more to come.” The caption read.
