You’re a father, Harry!
Daniel Radcliffe is expecting his first child with his longtime girlfriend, Erin Darke.
The couple, who has been together for over a decade, is due to become parents later this year.
“Daniel and Erin could not be happier to be expecting. They are absolutely thrilled, and can’t wait to become a family of three,” a source close to the actor told The Mirror.
“They told their families and friends recently. It’s an incredibly exciting time.”
According to another source, Daniel is thrilled to become a daddy.
“Daniel is so excited to be a dad. His relationship with Erin is really special and everyone thinks they will be amazing parents. They have kept it pretty quite up until now but she can’t hide her bump anymore,” The Sun reported.
The 33-year-old HP alum met Erin on the set of their 2012 movie, Kill Your Darlings and fell in love with her – it was love at first sight for him.
Speaking about his first encounter with Erin, Daniel told Playboy in 2015 that he was instantly attracted to her in the first scene they did together in the film.
“There’s no acting going on—not from my end, anyway. There’s a moment when she makes me laugh, and I’m laughing as me and not as my character,” he said.
“She was incredibly funny and smart. I knew I was in trouble.”
In another interview with PEOPLE Magazine in 2020, Radcliffe said he’d definitely tell their kids about their love story.
“It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day because of what our characters do with each other,” he laughed. “Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting.”
Meanwhile, Erin said their bond grew stronger with time, and they both are really supportive of each other’s careers.
“How much we really love what we do, and there’s something that’s really beautiful and really lovely about being with someone who just innately understands that about you,” she told PEOPLE. “We’re both incredibly supportive of the other person’s career.”
