You know what they say: Women who don’t want kids must have them anyway because they’ll change their minds. Right?
There’s a lot of judgment when it comes to women who just don’t want kids. I can’t tell you how often I’ve been called “selfish” or “dreadful” for not wanting children of my own, but honestly, there are so many other things to worry about than what people think of me.
Recently, there’s been a lot of discussion on social media and in the news about women who don’t want kids. A lot of people seem to think that there’s something wrong with these women, but I think it’s time to stop judging them.
There are a lot of reasons why women might not want kids. They might be very independent and like their life the way it is, not wanting to give up their freedom or become beholden to another person. They could have decided that they don’t want to bring a child into this world because of how terrible it is right now. Or maybe something awful happened to them in the past that makes them not want kids.
We need to all stop judging these women for making a choice about their own bodies. Whether you’re a man or woman, it doesn’t matter – you simply do not have the right to tell anyone else how they should live their life. These judgmental attitudes towards childfree women just further stigmatize them, and that’s not right.
At the end of the day, it’s up to each individual woman to decide whether or not she wants kids. No one else can make that decision for her. So let’s stop judging her and start supporting her instead. Thank you.
