Instagram Influencer Accused of Photoshopping herself into Exotic Vacation Photos

Former musician/recording artist and Instagram influencer Audrey O’Day has been accused of photoshopping herself into other’s photos that show her vacationing in exotic holiday locations.

Aubrey goes with the username @aubreyoday and has some 954K followers on her Instagram account.

Many of her followers think that she edits her pictures and deceives people by making them believe she actually visits all these places.

“O’Day describes herself as a “world traveler” in the bio for her Instagram account, which is filled with eye-catching photos of her in such far-flung locales as Bali, Athens, Santorini, Bora Bora, and the Maldives.”

“In captioning each of the uploads, the musician—who is seen looking achingly glamorous in the shots—shares philosophical and inspirational words with her army of more than 920,000 followers.” Newsweek wrote.

According to the outlet, even though O’Day also posts video content on her socials, people keep calling her out that her content is fake and she is a pro photoshopper.

It all started when Tiktok account @residualdata brought people’s attention to her highly edited photos.

“I will truly never get over people photoshopping themselves into random vacation photos. So here we have Aubrey O’Day, double platinum recording artist and world traveler, who apparently went on this vacation around Bali… by just Photoshopping herself into pictures.” The TikTok user said.

“And it’s truly, like, every single picture. I don’t even know if she went to Indonesia, like, at all.”

She further added, “I would like to surmise my video with saying that O’Day either uses content from other content creators or photoshops herself into random promotional images with these very inspirational Instagram captions accompanying the photos. In an era where social comparison is so high and has real effects, why are we doing this?”

The video was later deleted from the platform, but someone shared it on Twitter, where it gained traction again.

“Not that I was expecting totally chill & normal content from Donald Trump Jr.’s ex, but this is so f****** weird.” a user quote retweeted the video.

“Lol so this isn’t the plot to that movie ‘Not Okay’??????” Another said.

“Is she for real? Well guess what nothing is real on social media and people should stop making a big deal out of these so-called influencers.” Someone else wrote.

While many people called Aubrey out for deceiving them through her fancy pictures, some also spoke in her favor and said it’s a normal thing to do.

“[People] photoshop all the time. Who [really] cares unless you’re the type of person to compare yourself? Then that’s more a ‘you’ problem.”

“And she could just like photoshopping herself in different places. Could be fun for her, an art, and manifesting.” one supporter wrote.

“Honestly, this is the way to thrive on social media: fake it! Do the minimum efforts and get all the rewards! Aesthetics matter more than authenticity on Instagram.” Said another.
