Jada Koren Pinkett Smith is an American actress and talk show host of Facebook’s Red Table Talk and has received a Daytime Emmy Award.
She is also named among the hundred most influential people in the world in 2021.
Her famous projects include Gotham, Angel has Fallen, The Matrix Reloaded, Madagascar, Bad Moms, and Girls Trip.
Jada and Smith got married in December 1997 on New Year’s Eve and share two children together – Jaden Christopher Smith, 24, and Willow Camille Reign Smith, 22.
Recently the 50-year-old Red Table Talk host took to her Instagram and posted a stunning bald selfie of herself with the caption,
“Happy Bald is beautiful day to all my brothers and sisters with no hair.”
Her post came exactly six months after the 94th Academy Award incident when the show’s presenter Chris Rock joked about her shaved head.
On March 28, 2022, on the eve of the 94th Academy Awards, the world witnessed an iconic slap by Will Smith. When presenter Chris Rock joked about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, initially everyone laughed, including Smith himself. But a few moments later, the actor stood up from his seat and went on stage, where he smacked Chris and said, “keep my wife’s name outta your ****ing mouth.”
Later, The Pursuit of Happyness star took to his Instagram and wrote an apology post.
“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear, and I reacted emotionally.”
“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness. “
“I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees, and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us. I am a work in progress.”
Apparently, Rock wasn’t aware of Jada’s medical condition, which became a reason for her bald head.
In 2018, Pinkett Smith revealed that she was diagnosed with Alopecia.
“I’ve been having issues with hair loss. It was terrifying when it first started. I was in the shower one day, with just handfuls of hair in my hands. It was one of those times in my life that I was literally shaking with fear.”
“My hair has been a big part of me. Taking care of my hair has been a beautiful ritual.”
Reportedly, the Matrix actress tried to regrow her hair by taking steroid shots. However, it didn’t work. So, she embraced her new look and started rocking it off.
