Jada Pinkett Smith’s ex-boyfriend, whom she dated for a brief time during her split with her husband, Will Smith, recently came out as a gay person and introduced his new love – a boyfriend.
According to Daily Mail, “Jada Pinkett Smith’s ex-fling August Alsina appeared to come out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community on Monday.”
“The Kissin’ on My Tattoos singer, 30, discussed his new relationship while appearing on the reboot of VH1′s The Surreal Life. A man was then pictured sitting next to August, and as the two shared a hug, August told him ‘I love you.”
Two years after his infamous entanglement with the Red Table Talk show host, Alsina told fans that he has found love again.
“In the beginning of the clip August was pictured describing wanting ‘a love that feels limitless.’”
“And then what do you know? Love showed up, but in a new way,” the R&B singer said as he hugged his new beau.
“I want to share that and really honor the person that I love and that loves me back and teaching me so much about love and healing.”
He added, “I want to do that in front of the world because it defies all the constructs that one would say love is supposed to be or love should look like.”
The 30-year-old musician didn’t discuss his sexuality or dig deeper into his new relationship.
“The video ended with a photo of a happy August and a caption that stated he was ‘shedding his old skin, in order to begin again.’”
In his 2020 interview with Breakfast Club, the Ghetto singer admitted that he was involved in a romantic relationship with the Matrix star and even said that Will Smith gave him his blessings.
“I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it.”
He also revealed that before meeting the Collateral actress, he had never experienced ‘love’ before.
Jada initially rejected his claims and kept telling everyone that she didn’t have a proper relationship with the musician; the actress later called her thing with Alsina an ‘entanglement.’
“We were over. From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August,” she said on her Red Table Talk show in 2020.
In April 2022, The Sun reported that August was all set to write a memoir on his relationship with the Gotham alum.
“August is getting ready to sign a big money book deal which will detail his romantic liaisons with Jada,” an insider revealed told the outlet.
“He has always maintained that Will gave him permission to sleep with Jada, something they have publicly denied.”
The source added, “August will go into detail about his time with Jada and will also speak about how he spent time living in homes owned by Will when he was away filming.”
