Jennifer Lawrence says it is Frustrating to see DiCaprio Making More Money than Her

Jennifer Lawrence was the world’s highest-paid American actress in 2015 and 2016, with movies that grossed over six billion dollars at the box office.

Lawrence also made it to the list of 100 most influential people in the world in 2013 and Forbes Celebrity 100 list from 2013 to 2016.

Her notable projects include The Hunger Games, Red Sparrow, Silver Linings Playbook, Serena, and the X-Men series.

Recently, the Hunger Games actress spoke to Vogue and discussed the pay gap between her and her fellow male actors.

The 31-year-old said that most male actors in Hollywood are overpaid.

According to Unilad, ‘Jen and Leo were the top names in Adam McKay’s comedy film, starring as two scientists trying desperately to warn the world of an approaching comet that’s set to wipe out all humanity.’

Variety reported that while DiCaprio made $30 million from the movie, Jennifer earned $25 million – a whole five million lesser than her co-star despite being the top-billed actress.

Recently, Vogue reported about “the persistent pay gap between her and her male costars, for example. (The hacking of Sony Pictures computers in 2014 revealed that Lawrence’s compensation for American Hustle had been considerably less than that of her male costars.”

“She knows all actors at her level are overpaid, but the discrepancy is still bothersome. It reflects the pay gap between men and women writ large, and it delivers the same insult.”

“It doesn’t matter how much I do. I’m still not going to get paid as much as that guy, because of my vagina?” The actress said.

“When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with d**ks, I didn’t get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself.”
