Julia Fox is an Italian-American actress, writer, and model who is known for her debut performance in the 2019 film Uncut Gems.
Her notable projects include Uncut Gems Julia De Fiore, No Sudden Move Vanessa Capelli, PVT CHAT Scarlet, and The Trainer.
Recently the actress and model spoke to ES Magazine and revealed that she is proud of herself for breaking up with the American rapper and controversial personality, Kanye West.
After the finalization of his divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian, West and Fox dated each other for a brief amount of time.
“Forming a bond in an unexpected place. Nearly one year after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West, the musician publicly moved on with Julia Fox,” Us Weekly wrote in March.
In January 2022, the Uncut Gems actress confirmed her relationship with the Runaway rapper.
“I mean, I’m still in shock. Ye had an entire hotel suite full of clothes. Every girl’s dream came true and felt like a real Cinderella moment. I don’t know how he did it or how he got everything there in time. But I was so surprised. Like, who does things like this on a second date? Or any date!”
“I don’t know where things are headed, but if this is any indication of the future, I’m loving the ride,” said Fox.
According to Us Weekly, the duo was first seen together on New Year’s Eve in 2021 in Miami.
“The insider told Us that West ‘wanted to get to know her better’ after they initially connected through mutual friends.”
Speaking with Interview Magazine in January, the Puppet actress stated that West, who changed his name to Ye, possessed amazing energy and often made her laugh.
“His energy is so fun to be around. He had me and my friends laughing, dancing, and smiling all night. We decided to keep the energy going and fly back to New York City to see Slave Play. Ye’s flight landed at six; the play was at seven, and he was there ON TIME. I was impressed.”
“After the play, we chose to make dinner at Carbone, which is one of my favorite restaurants,” she added. “Obviously. At the restaurant, Ye directed an entire photo shoot for me while people dined! The whole restaurant loved it and cheered us on while it was happening.”
Following her hookup with the Flashing Lights star, Julia remained in the news, and people even made memes about her. Some even claimed that she used the rapper as a ‘ploy’ to remain in the limelight.
However, in one of her interviews on ‘Forbidden Fruits’ podcast, Fox hit back at her haters and said that she couldn’t care less.
“It’s funny cause I’m getting all of this attention, but I really couldn’t care. People are like ‘Oh, you’re only in it for the fame, you’re in it for the clout, you’re in it for the money.’ Honey, I’ve dated billionaires my entire adult life; let’s keep it real.”
“Watch my movie, read my book. That is more thrilling to me now than eyes on me. I couldn’t care less.”
Despite all the so-called positive energy and fun, she claimed she had with Kanye, the 32-year-old actress ‘called it quits’ after only two months of dating Kim’s ex.
“Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators, but they are no longer together,” one of her spokespeople told Us in February 2022.
In her recent interview with ES, Fox revealed that her breakup with Kanye was due to his ‘red flags.’
“It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it or energy,” she told the publication.
“The unresolved issues that he was dealing with. It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it, or the energy. I don’t have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I’m proud of myself for that,” she concluded.
