In his Memoir, ‘Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,’ Perry Attacked Reeves and said he should have passed on.
The John Wick star began his acting career in 1986 when he was featured in a film titled Youngblood.
Three years later, Reeves made a breakthrough in the industry by playing the role of ‘Ted’ in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and since then, it’s been “upwards and onwards’ for him.
Known for his iconic roles in numerous movies like John Wick, Constantine, Knock Knock, Siberia, Speed, Replicas, The Devil’s Advocate, Exposed, The Matrix, Chain Reaction, Sweet November, A Walk in the Clouds, and many others – Reeves has millions of fans all over the world.

Last year, The Matrix star surprised an English couple by making an unplanned entry at their wedding reception.
Reeves was staying at a four-star hotel in Northamptonshire, where he reportedly went to work on a Formula One documentary for Disney+.
“The Hollywood actor, 57, crossed paths with Nikki and James Roadnight on their big day because he was staying at their four-star hotel, where rooms begin at £266-per-night and reach up to £495.” Wrote Daily Mail.
According to Newsweek, when the hotel owner and groom-to-be saw Keanu in his hotel bar, he immediately invited him to his wedding reception.
“My husband saw him in the bar area and told him he’d just got married and invited Keanu to come over to say hello and have a drink with us if he wanted to,” the bride said.
“He was very friendly and said he would later on. We didn’t know if he would or not, but it was cool that my husband had spoken to him!”
She added that during the ceremony, a hotel staff member came to her and told her that a ‘very special’ guest came to give her his blessings on her special day.
And when she went to receive the guest, it was none other than Mr. Keanu Reeves!
“It was all very exciting and I went to say hi and introduce myself, and I offered him a drink, but he declined that and said he’d just had a long flight so wouldn’t stay long, but he was so kind and friendly and congratulated us on our wedding,” she said.
“He was kind enough to do some pictures, and our wedding photographer was able to capture some too! Then he took the time to speak to some of our guests and have more photos done!”
On another occasion, he came across a fan in New York who asked him too many questions, and he politely answered every single one of them.
He would also randomly visit bars and restaurants and poses for pictures with his fans.
Throughout his career, Keanu never faced hatred, negativity, or scandal.
But last year in November, fans were shocked when Friends actor Matthew Perry attacked Keanu in his memoir and said something that really hurt and angered all the Keanu Reeves fans.
In one section, Matthew discussed his friendship with the late American actor River Phoenix and wrote,
“River was a beautiful man, inside and out — too beautiful for this world, it turned out. It always seems to be the really talented guys who go down. Why is it that the original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves still walks among us?”
Although Matthew later apologized for his words and said he loves Keanu and mistakenly chose his name, the actor received massive criticism from John Wick’s fans for mentioning his name in such a harsh and hurtful statement.
