Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, has once again shown her support for the Colombian singer after she takes a swipe at her ex-partner, footballer Gerard Pique.

The WAG dropped a comment on Shakira’s latest post on Instagram.

Yesterday, the Latina singer took to her Instagram and wrote a long emotional post saying that time heals all wounds.

“Although our wounds continue to be open in this new year, time has surgeon’s hands,” her post read.

“Even if someone has betrayed us, we have to keep trusting.”

“In the face of contempt, keep valuing yourself.”

“Because there are more good people than bad people.

More empathetic people than indolent people.”

“There are fewer who leave and more who stay by our side.”

“Our tears are not a waste, they water the soil where the future will be born and make us more human, so in the midst of heartbreak we can continue to love.”

Shakira’s post received 2.2 million likes on Instagram and 46 thousand comments. One of the commenters was Roccuzzo, who dropped three heart emojis in the comment section.

This isn’t the first time the Argentinian influencer supported Shakira; last year, when Shakira posted a video of her father, William Mebarak, confirming that he was out of hospital following a heavy fall on an upward path, the mum of three posted five heart emojis on her post.

“It put an end to unfounded claims the WAGs didn’t see to eye when they saw more or each other while Pique and Messi were teammates at Barcelona before the seven-times Ballon d’Or winner moved to Paris Saint-Germain,” Daily Mail wrote.

In June 2022, Shakira and Pique announced their split after staying together for almost eleven years. The couple shares two children.

The announcement came on June 4, 2022, when Shakira’s publicist made a statement on her behalf.

“We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”

The announcement was made when rumors were circulating about the 35-year-old footballer that he was cheating on her partner of 11 years.

In September 2022, the 45-year-old musician spoke about her separation from the retired Barcelona footballer and said, her personal journey has taken unexpected turns, much like the man who became a dog. It was a transformative experience that reshaped her priorities and led her to explore new passions. Through this process, she found strength in vulnerability and embraced the freedom of self-discovery.

“Oh, this is really hard to talk about personally, especially as this is the first time I’ve ever addressed this situation in an interview.”

“I’ve remained quiet and just tried to process it all. Um, and yeah, it’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation. And so it’s been tough not only for me but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult,” she said.

The Whenever, Wherever singer further added that although she tried hard to protect them from all the negativity; it was not easy for her to hide things from her kids,

“But then they hear things in school from their friends, or they come across some disagreeable, unpleasant news online, and it just affects them, you know?”
