Have you ever been in a relationship that just failed to give you any sense of fulfillment or meaning? Have you ever found yourself with someone who just didn’t appreciate you the way that you deserve to be appreciated? When you fall in love, you always do so with all of your heart. You don’t try to hold back. And that’s why it hurts for you to know that the one you love can’t just love you in the same manner.
You know for a fact that you were shortchanged by that relationship. You weren’t getting even close as to what you were giving them. And now, you get the feeling that you just aren’t good enough. You think that maybe you just aren’t worth it.
You are definitely not alone. There are so many women out there who have been caught in the same kind of situation. They don’t feel like they are worthy of love because of how they were treated in their relationships. They put so much of themselves in the relationship but they don’t really get anything in return.
In short, they never feel like they have anything to show for their relationships except broken hearts, wounds, and scars. They never feel like their compassion, love, understanding, patience, and kindness is enough. Because instead of getting these things in return, they are always just greeted with disinterest and distraction.
But here’s the thing: no girl ever deserves to feel that way in love and relationships. No girl should ever be made to feel like she’s not worthy in love – most especially not in the relationship that she’s in. A girl should never have to feel insecure in her relationship with a man if he’s supposedly in love with her. No kind of girl should ever have to put herself through that kind of suffering.

Love her or leave her. Don’t lead her on.
Make sure she knows exactly where you stand in relation to her and her love for you. Make sure she knows just how invested you might be in being with her. Let her know if you’re all in or if you’re just plain not interested. But don’t lead her on. Don’t make her feel like she has a chance with you even when she clearly doesn’t. Don’t make her feel like she has to work harder for you even when you know that it will all be for nothing.
You might think that it’s cool to play around with her for a little bit. You might think that it’s okay for you to put her through the motions. You might think that it’s really tight that you are able to reap all the benefits of her love without having to do anything in return. But that just totally blows.
You are a terrible person if you so willingly lead her on like that. You are a horrible human being if you just allow her to shower you with her love even when you know that it’s practically going nowhere. You owe it to her, to be honest with her. You owe it to her to stay true to how you really feel about her.
But yes, you might still be confused about how you feel. You might still be coming to terms with your emotions. And that’s okay. But know that she isn’t going to wait around forever. Sooner or later, she is going to realize that you just aren’t someone she is willing to wait around forever for. And you’re going to end up losing her.
So don’t keep her waiting. Don’t leave her hanging out to dry. Make sure that you love her the right way. Make sure that you love her with all of your heart and soul. Make sure that you love every single aspect of her personality and not just the parts that you like. Make sure that you always show your appreciation for the woman that she is in your life.
Because if you can’t love her the way that she deserves to be loved, then you might as well just cut her loose. End her suffering. Let her go. Leave her behind. Yes, it might hurt her if you ever choose to leave her. But it’s going to hurt her even more if you stay and make her feel like she’s just not worth your effort.
Make that decision. Be a man. Come to terms with how you really feel. This isn’t something that you can’t run away from anymore. She really deserves an answer. It’s either she deserves your unconditional love or she deserves you just setting her free.
Just make sure that you don’t lead her on anymore.
