A man proposed to his high school sweetheart sixty years after they first met, and now they are all set to get married.
Doctor Thomas fell in love with Nancy when they were both teenagers and studied in high school together. Unfortunately, they couldn’t work things out six decades ago and lost touch after graduating.
However, the couple reconnected last month and realized they still have feelings for each other. According to Daily Mail, the elderly couple spent the last three weeks talking to each other before Nancy decided to fly to Florida to meet Thomas in person after all these years.
When she landed at the Tampa airport in Florida, Nancy was stunned to see Thomas sitting on one knee, all set to propose to the long-lost love of his life.
Dr. Thomas delivered a beautiful heartfelt speech before asking Nancy to marry him and spend the rest of her life with him.
The lovely moment was recorded by one of his patients who was present at the moment at the airport, and it was later shared on TikTok.

The clip with the caption, “My heart!! Sweetest proposal. He was so excited,” amassed over 2 million views on the platform and received thousands of emotional comments.
The now-viral clip showed Dr. Thomas dressed up in a suit, anxiously waiting for Nancy to arrive with a big smile on his face. After she arrived, Thomas handed her a flower bouquet and kissed her on the lips.
He then sat down on one knee, pulled a ring from his pocket, and then delivered an emotional speech for Nancy as she sat down with her mouth wide open.
“My dear Nancy, it’s been 60 years since we first met, 56 years since we first dated, 10 years since I last saw you, and 20 days since we began this,” Thomas said in a shaky voice.
“You have always been the one I’ve had a crush on, since your cheerleader days. It brings a smile to my face, it makes my heart skip a beat [to see you]. For the last three weeks, I have thought of you every day, every hour and have talked to you every night for hours.”
He continued, “I have longed to see you again, hold you in my arms, and tell you how much you mean to me. You are the most incredible person I have ever met. Your beauty, both inside and out, has always captivated me. Your kindness and compassion to those less fortunate [than you] has touched my heart and changed me in ways that are hard to describe.”
He told Nancy she was the one he had always wanted as a partner, lover, and a friend.
“So Nancy, I come to you humbly today, June 30, with a proposal. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and cherish every moment we will have together,” he said while popping the big question.
“We’ll make every day an exciting new adventure. I want to grow old with you, wake up in your arms every morning, share our dreams and aspirations, laugh and cry and support one another through thick and thin.”
“Will you, Nancy, give me the honor of being my soulmate in life? My partner in every sense of the word, my beloved wife forever? Will you marry me?” he asked.
Nancy immediately said YES with tears in her eyes, and the couple shared a tight hug as the crowd cheered on them.
“They were meant to be, nor time or distance tore them apart,” one person commented on TikTok.
“This is the sweetest thing,” another said.
“I just cried,” added another, while a fourth said: “They are beyond adorable.”
