The art of the proposal. It’s always a high-pressure situation because it signifies the emergence into a new phase of a relationship and that can never be taken lightly. It doesn’t matter if the person you’re with is the one you’re certain to spend the rest of your days with. You can still be completely confident in each other’s love and you would still a little bit anxious and nervous about having to go through the proposal. And that’s completely normal. It’s always typical for someone to feel nervous when going through a very important life event or milestone.

And of course, the art of the proposal has drastically evolved over the years. There have been public proposals in open spaces where hundreds of other people can pay witness to it. There are proposals that are done through YouTube videos or homemade movies. There are proposals that are done in the living room where it’s just the couple who is there to witness it. And there are proposals that are done in fancy restaurants over dinner. It can either be some grand gesture or a very private and intimate affair. It all really depends on the type of personality that two people in the relationship have. One of the more common ways to propose to someone is at Disneyland right in front of Cinderella’s Castle. It is often seen to symbolize the start of a fairytale life between two people. There was even one couple who proposed to one another at the same time right in front of Cinderella’s Castle because they believed it to be such a great idea.
But it’s not just about the manner in which a person proposes. It’s also about the type of ring a guy should get for his girl. Of course, there are some very subtle ways to find out a woman’s true ring size or what kind of ring they would typically like. You can casually bring it up in a random conversation so nonchalantly or you could ask for some help from your girl’s friends.
However, if you’re rich and crazy like Dennis Brown, you could play it safe and go the more unusual route by buying multiple rings so that your girl can get to choose which one she wants.
Dennis is a model and fitness guru who chose to spare no expenses for his proposal. He went ahead and hired some event planners, florists, stylists, photographers, and a lot more to make sure that his day would go over smoothly. And on top of that, he even got 6 different rings for his girlfriend Atara to choose from for the engagement.
He gave her a single heart-shaped box that happened to house all 6 rings and he gave her the opportunity to choose the one which she liked the most. And while she was choosing her rings, he had had a banner prepared which read, “Today, on your special day I had the pleasure of putting a smile on your face all day. For there is no greater gift that I could think to give you.”
It later went on to read, “A woman, whose heart is full of love and devotion to me, a woman whose loyalty to all those she loves stands unmatched, a woman whose generosity and willingness to help others around her flourish knows no depths.”
Touching, right?
“A woman who single-handedly made me believe that a soulmate, a lover, a prayer warrior, a confidant, and a best friend could be wrapped up in one amazingly beautiful soul that was handcrafted for me.”
And for the grand finale.
“That’s why today I wanted to give you the greatest gift that I could ever give you… my heart and soul completely, unwavering and all yours… will you accept and hold my hand in yours through this journey?”

Atara was in tears by the time she finished reading it all and she also said yes. And if you’re curious as to which ring she chose, she got the teardrop shaped ring.
